Free Bible Classes

My name is Katemena Amos Paul from Zambia and I am taking free Bible classes online at Christian Leaders Institute. To minister in my country is not easy as it requires a lot of financial aid. I came to know the Lord in 2008 after a man of God made a call out for everyone who wanted to have Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior.

My ministry dream is to see my ministry develop to be a ministry strong in the Lord and grounded in sound doctrinal teaching and the preaching of the word of God. The first of the free Bible classes at Christian Leaders Institute has strengthened me in my daily faith walk with God. It has also given me hope to develop and accomplish all my dreams to become a strong Christian leader. I identify myself as a pastor and a church planter because that is what I would like to do for the Lord.

The key experience that prompted me to pursue the ministry was the death of my father who ran a ministry. And, after his death, the church has remained unattended to. They need a pastor to lead them again.

Some of the unique challenges in my local area for me include the great distance from my home to the church and it is on the side of a hill across from a stream. My local church has supported me through prayers and encouragements on my behalf. Free Bible classes and ministry training at Christian Leaders Institute will help me achieve my dreams and bring glory to God. Since I am not financially stable to study at an institution that requires payments, CLI is a great blessing to me.

Ministry Training In Zambia

Ministry Training in Zambia continues in earnest. The official language of Zambia give Christian Leaders a great opportunity for ministry training in Zambia on the Interent.

Mataa Mulife is a recent graduate at CLI. Here is his story.

I am a Zambian by Nationality, a landlocked country in Southern Africa.

It is the only country in the world that was declared a Christian nation and this declaration is enshrined in the country’s constitution. This makes doing ministry easier in Zambia as three-quarters of the population are Christians.
I was born again in the year 2004 through a group called the Scripture Union, when I was doing my 9th Grade at Secondary School. I have a dream to win more souls to the Lord, and I would Identify myself as a Church Planter because of my desire to plant churches throughout the country as well as to train leaders. I am convinced that I am called into ministry.
The only challenge in ministry in our location is the fact that most people calling themselves men of God are deceiving people and doing ministry for their personal benefits. My local church has ben so supportive in my ministry and walk with God in that I am taught the undefiled word of God and thank God that CLI has been able to confirm the teachings I receive from my church.

My family has to been supportive in that they help with ministry financially, as well as moral support by believing in me and my calling.
Finally acquiring a scholarship from CLI is one of the best things that has ever happened in my life. This scholarship will help me fulfill my dream of planting more churches in Zambia.  I ask the CLI Leadership and team to pray for me that the Lord will give me the grace to fulfill with the vision He has given me.

“The dream to start a training school was planted in me at the time of my conversion. Almost immediately after I was born again I had an inner vision of some kind of college and I was teaching there. Since that time I have been teaching in many local church based Bible schools but I know one day I will start my own school. I have also been conducting leadership training in various parts of my country.”       – Patrick Siame, student of CLI

Free Internet Bible School In Zambia

My name is Patrick Siame. I was born on 9th November, 1957 in Mporokoso, a small town in the northern part of Zambia. Currently I am living in Kitwe, the second largest city in Zambia.

When I was doing my secondary school education I was a religious person but I was not a Christian. All that changed on 20th September, 1979 when I met the Lord, Jesus Christ. On that day I was invited by a friend of mine to attend a Scripture Union meeting. This was in a military camp where I was serving my 20 months compulsory National Service. After some prayers and a short bible study one of the leaders of the S.U preached a short sermon that touched me so much that I shared the same message with whoever I met in camp throughout that day.

In the evening I felt prompted to withdraw to a solitary place. I had no idea what I was going to be doing there but I started off for a quiet place I had in mind. When I got there I found myself kneeling down, confessing my sins and asking Jesus to forgive me and to come into my life. And Jesus did come into my life that day. The proof of this is four-fold: First, I was able to pray in my own words, something I could not do before. I’ve continued to pray since that day. Second, I felt clean on the inside and continue to feel the same today. My drinking and smoking habits were broken that day. I have never smoked or drank any beer since that day and I believe, by the grace of God, I never will. Third, I immediately had the desire to know the Bible. I had never owned a Bible in my life up to that moment but because I felt the hunger to know the Word, I went and bought a Bible three days later. I’ve been reading and studying the Bible since the 24th September, 1979. On a daily basis I see myself changing as I walk with the Lord and this is the fourth proof to me that Jesus had indeed come into my life.

My ministry dream is to start a Leadership Development Institute whose goal will be to enhance the skills of Christian leaders in every sphere of life: church, family, civic, and social etc. My primary calling is that of a teacher but I’m also comfortable doing pastoral work. In fact, I am currently pastor of a church I started in 2000.

My Church has encouraged me in my calling by encouraging me to conduct teaching seminars on various topics. They have also allowed me to preach and teach out of station several times over the years. My family has also done the same. CLI’s free internet bible school is important to my ministry. I definitely will learn new things and I believe CLI will provide some teaching materials that will be useful in my teaching ministry.

Free Christian Ministry Training

A Miracle Of Healing Only By Jesus

CLI student, Hamilton Felix Chiutare:

I was born in Zimbabwe in 1970. I attended early church at Roman Catholic, mainly because our mother insisted that we attend. As I grew older I stopped attending completely. Due to economic problems in Zimbabwe, I moved to Botswana in 2003. My residence is in Botswana where my family currently lives but I’m currently employed in Zambia. This is the story that changed my life, how I was saved, and the ministry I am pursuing.

I went to work in Mozambique for 3 years from 2011 to 2013. While in Mozambique, I applied for work in Zambia and was successful. I went back home to Botswana in preparation to move to Zambia for my new assignment. I completed all the formalities with my new employer and I was given the air ticket and travel dates. With a week to go to Zambia for my new assignment, on 21st November, 2013 at around 3 a.m, I woke up with a strong headache. I couldn’t sleep and started vomiting, pain killers could not help. My wife took me to the local private surgery but all the treatments could not stop the headache. They gave me bed rest thinking it was a migraine but nothing helped. In the afternoon I requested that they transfer me to the public medical facility in our village. On arrival, I was immediately transferred to the district hospital and a variety of medical tests were done.

Due to the fact that I had been to Mozambique, they thought that it was malaria but the tests came back negative. By now, my left eye was beginning to see double vision and I could not walk without support. The doctors booked me into the ward for observation as all tests done were negative. I was injected with a powerful pain killer but it worked only for 3 hours. By 2130 hours, I was awake and the headache persisted. The doctors could not do anything to help me. The next day my left eye had shut down but still the doctors could not say what was wrong with me. We made a decision as a family to transfer me to a private hospital in the capital city in the afternoon since the doctors could not tell us the cause of the headache. A quick head scan was done but the doctor on duty could not see anything. He advised us to return the next day to see the resident neurologist. The next day, a detailed head scan was done and it showed a tumor of the pituitary gland which was over 3cm large. The headache had probably been due to bleeding of the tumor. The doctor advised that I needed surgery as soon as possible and he referred me to his colleagues in Zimbabwe since the cost of surgery was not affordable at this private hospital( I had no medical aid). I went to Zimbabwe and tried everything to have the surgery done, but nothing worked as we faced barriers every time. My brother’s pastor and various members of his church came to pray for me. During this period, I gave my life to Christ and became saved. My health started improving and I stopped taking pain killers. I went back to Botswana, joined a local church where they prayed for me, and Jesus Christ healed me. My eye started opening up and the sight started returning to my eye.

On New Year’s day, I went for an all night prayer and the guest pastor who had come to our church for the first time called me to the front and told me that God had chosen me and I was going to be a pastor. She asked the church pastor and leadership to lay hands on me and they did. After 2 weeks I was on the plane to Zambia to start work. Many people could not believe what God had done in about 50 days. I’m now well and at work in Zambia with no more pain or sickness. I joined a local church in Zambia who continue to support and guide me in my walk with God. The pastor I met in Zambia is my mentor and I shared my story with him. The local church in Botswana is helping through encouragement. In Zambia the local church is helping through cell group meetings where everyone is given a chance to lead on a topic of their choice. In the main service, I am given a chance to present exaltation in giving once in a while. I have also joined the intercession team which supports my prayer life. With CLI’s free Christian ministry training, it will help me develop a strong foundation as a pastor and will enable me to bring God’s Word to people back home.

My goal is to bring the Word of God to many others in my local area through my testimony of what God did for me after 43 years in the wilderness and darkness. I want to tell others how their walk with Jesus Christ can bring change into their lives from a personal experience.

Youth Initiative A Passion For Phillip Zgambo of Zambia

Youth Initiative describes this man’s life, his missions, his calling and even his desired focus ministry. Phillip Zgambo of Zambia has helped his community whenever he could; including working with Global Youth Initiative Zambia. Now he has chosen Christian Leaders Institute to learn and become more effective in his youth initiative efforts.

Youth Initiative basically means young people taking introductory steps or leading action. Phillip desires to learn to be a good teacher, showing young people how to break away from backward traditions and become shining examples to others.

Teaching them how to live with true youth initiative through Jesus Christ.

I am Phillip Zgambo and I live in Ndola; Zambia’s second city and the capital of the copper-rich Copperbelt province. I am married. Together with my wife Noliva we have one beautiful son; Chimwemwe. (His name means JOY in our native language) Both Noliva and I are born-again Christians.

Ndola is the third largest city in Zambia, with a population of 455,194 (2010 census provisional). It is the industrial and commercial center of the Copperbelt, Zambia’s copper-mining region, and capital of Copperbelt Province. It is also the commercial capital city of Zambia and has one of the three international airports, others being Livingstone and Lusaka. It lies just 10 km from the border with DR Congo.[1]  … …Ndola was founded in 1904 making it the second oldest colonial-era town of Zambia… …Many closed factories and plants lie unoccupied in the town… …Ndola is home to one of the country’s national newspapers, the Times of Zambia, as well as its printer, Printpak. These run as one company called TimesPrintpak.

Catholic Church run printing press, ‘Mission Press’, is also located in Ndola. ‘Mission Press’ operates as a commercial entity.

I got saved in February of 1993 during my last grade of Secondary School at Chama High. I had just moved there a month earlier after having been expelled from my previous school and spending over a year at the farm. My previous Deputy Headmaster from school saw something in me and refused to let me rot at the farm. As his last act before relocating, he called me to his office and gave me a transfer letter to another school where my record of miss-deeds was not known.

A month after moving to Chama, I was invited to the Scripture Union meeting; where incidentally the guy preaching shared my last name, Cosmas Zgambo. The preaching that evening was about me even though there were dozens of us in attendance and Cosmas had no idea who I was or what I had ever done. “Some of you are involved in one caper after another and when people applaud it you feel like you are champions. But truth be told, when you are alone, you feel completely empty and useless,” he said. He preached right to me. By the time the meeting was over I was at the altar.

I have been involved in youth initiative and ministry ever since that time. Leading a group of youth outreach ministers in Kitwe, Zambia called Destiny Youths and a Christian NGO, Global Youth Initiative Zambia is some of what I do.

I have no doubt what God’s call is on my life. I feel like Christian Leaders Institute is what I have been waiting years for. I feel a scholarship from CLI will help me prepare to achieve God’s will and vision for my life. I feel the training I will receive from CLI will help me become a better Minister of God, a better Outreach worker, a better youth initiative mentor and a better church member. Jesus will make me a better husband, better father to my son and a better me!

Global Youth Initiative Zambia – “In December of 1996, a number of young men and women met in Kitwe, Copperbelt Zambia over what they termed ‘The Youth Vision’. The idea was to get the youth involved in issues that affect society. A couple of youth ventures were launched from that meeting, one of them being an un-registered group called ‘DESTINY YOUTHS’. As Destiny Youths, we carried out a number of outreach events in Zambia from 1996 to 2009. We narrowed down our areas of focus to issues of HIV/AIDS and Climate Change/Environment issues between 2002 and 2008. We incorporated in January 2010 as Global Youth Initiative Zambia (GYIZ) with our motto as ‘Imparting a Vision…Impacting a Generation!’.”

This Christian Leaders Institute student has been involved with Global Youth Initiative Zambia and many other life changing ministries in and around his community. Phillip Zgambo has shown that you can rise above a jagged past with Jesus and make a difference.

My Ministry goal is to be involved in youth Evangelism. The youth are my passion. When I see the uncertainty that they face today, both churched and un-churched, my heart bleeds. They need someone who has felt what they are feeling and can tell them there is a better way. God’s way and JESUS’ way is for them. I want to preach and propagate the grace of Jesus. That is the passion God put on my heart back in 1994.

I want to reach my corner of the world for Jesus. I may not be able to travel the world for HIM but I certainly will reach my corner for Jesus; with His grace. That is why I need good quality training and preparation. The kind I strongly believe I would receive at Christian Leaders Institute.

I see myself as an Evangelist/Teacher. I have a passion for youth initiative and leading the younger generation to Jesus. I also have a passion to ground them in Christ. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in business Administration and 3 Diplomas in Business and Sales.

For now, I feel led into bi-vocational ministry. If God says otherwise later, He is God. He knows best. Your prayers over my life, family, ministry and my field of practice will go a long way in taking me to His destiny planned for me.

Many thanks from Zambia;

Phillip Zgambo

Online Bible School for Zambia

Christian Leaders Institute is an Online Bible School for Zambia. The Internet allow CLI to beam classes to students in a place like Zambia where ministry training is really needed. Meet Max Chisaka of Zambia:

My name is Max Chisaka. I live in Lusaka, Zambia. I am a retired central (reserve) banker. I am married to my wife Rose, and have three children, the oldest living in the USA, the second is a medical doctor here in Lusaka, and the youngest (22 years old) is finishing his university education in Malaysia. I am a member of the United Church of Zambia, the largest Protestant church in Zambia with some 4 million members in 2,000 congregations in some 100 consistories in 10 presbyteries.

Having held several different responsibilities within the Church, my current focus is: 1) Teaching and developing lay people into leaders 2) Working with the Men’s Christian Fellowship (MCF) group within the Church and 3) Working with the youth group for boys called Boys Brigade.

While I have had some training that allows me to function and perform acceptedly in these areas, I feel that a more systematic study in the areas that CLI can provide will make me even more effective in serving these groups. The MCF groups within the Church are set up with the prime purpose of evangelism. As a leader in this group, I want to see us become more effective as evangelists. With the lay leaders development, I am basically a teacher. My family has been very supportive in the work that I have done so far, though this has often meant being away from home and the use of our personal resources to ensue that the work is completed.

Please pray for the United Church and the various groups and programs that have been established to further the kingdom of God. Pray for me also that even as I advance in age, I can continue to render a service to God’s people that helps them grow.

Bible College - Gibson Lubasi Kalenga of Zambia

Bible College – Gibson of Zambia accepted the asked Jesus into his life at a young age. He wants to more then just be a believer, he wants to be a teacher for a  local Bible College. He shares about his experience at Christian Leaders Institue an online Bible College.

“My name is Gibson Lubasi Kalenga a Zambian citizen, living in Lusaka, Zambia is a developing country found in Cenral Africa with a population of about 13 million. We have 73 tribes and the people here are very friendly. In terms of the weather, it is also good, as it is balanced, it is not very hot and not very cold. And with the declaration of Zambia as a Christian nation, I feel this is the place ideal for ministry work.

I came to know the lord through a renowned local preacher when I was still at School in the rural part of Livingstone City at a Mission School. His sermons were so touching and frightening, and this made me to accept Jesus Christ as my lord and saviour in 1978 in the Church of Christ.”

Gibson wants to be a teacher for a local Bible college.

“My Ministry dream is to be a Bible School teacher at a local Bible College. I feel this will make me achieve my goal. However to achieve this I will not only need experienced teachers but also spiritual guidance. And I have hope that one day this will come true.”

This online Bible College can give him what he needs to be a great teacher of the word.

“When I look at the CLI set-up as an online Bible College; the way they handle students, their experiences, how they lay their modules, how they explain the Bible and their teaching style, it is simply marvelous and unique. And I feel this is the right place for me to achieve what I want.”

In terms of prayers for me, please go ahead and pray for me. I should say this is what Christ left when he said “I don’t pray for you alone but also for others out there. In view of this please pray for me for physical strength because i like travelling to Gospel meetings, spiritual power, wisdom, courage and faith.

Yours in Christ,

Gibson Lubasi Kalenga”
