“My dream is to start a mentorship tree for empowering women in Christ that will continue to grow yearly till we reach more women in Malawi and on the continent.”

Empowering Women

My name is Milandu Mwale and I am empowering women in Christ in Malawi. I am living in Malawi in the capital city Lilongwe. I have 12 siblings. I am married with three daughters. I gave my life to Jesus when I was 13 years old at a Christian student gathering in high school. Malawi has a high illiteracy rate, highest amongst women, and many women who don’t have income. However, the role of women in the Malawian family cannot be underestimated and saved and empowered women have the potential for reaching out for Jesus in the wider community.

When I was young and a first-generation believer in my family, I hungered for some mentorship and guidance. The more I craved this the more the Lord continued to impress upon me my call in this area. When I was in college studying to be a science teacher, the Lord continued to strengthen me and showed me the gaps that existed in the body of Christ in disciple-making. Ten years later, the Lord gave me the words from Titus 2 on mentorship cementing my call. In 2015, I started a ministry (online) called “Titus 2 Ministry” which is empowering women in Christ.

As the founder of the ministry, I felt the Lord leading me to invest in learning the how-to of ministry and the teaching of God’s word. My dream for ministry is to establish a mentorship academy. It would be a school that would provide mentorship to women, women’s ministries, women in business, women in the corporate world, on standing for Jesus and living a Godly life. My dream is to start a mentorship tree empowering women in Christ that will continue to grow yearly till we reach more women in Malawi and on the continent.

As a teacher, this was a no-brainer. If we demand a high school diploma to teach ABC’s to our children; how much more do we need to teach the treasures of God’s truth. In searching for a school that allowed flexibility in learning, God led me to Christian Leaders Institute. This is a treasure I hold so dear. A gift from God. This class has brought alive many teachings I have heard from sermons and have read in the scripture. It has strengthened my walk with Jesus a lot. It has helped me reflect on my personal walk with him.

I most identify with the word Pastor. I often find myself working with people that need help with their fresh or renewed walk with Jesus. As an ordained Elder at my church, some of the things I have supported my church with have been development of Sunday school curriculum, membership class curriculum and I have taught a number of these classes. But as the Lord deeply called me to mentorship, I found myself mobilizing women in my church to start a small group that mentored girls, we called it “DOVE” – “daughters of virtue and excellence.” A program that offers mentorship to women. In recent years, I have worked with “Sister-international Ministry” in training women mentors. My pastor is very supportive of this ministry and continues to encourage me on this spiritual journey to equip myself to serve!

This scholarship is very important to me, as it opens doors of opportunities and most of all it equips me for ministry. It is timely and God sent to prepare me to serve in my calling of empowering women in Christ. I pray that this training gives me the necessary tools to reach out to the lost people in my home country and help women to grow into people that would be able to mentor others.

Philip Samson Kuchinga enrolled at Christian Leaders Institute for Effective Evangelism Training to better save lost souls in his community. Here is his story…

Effective Evangelism Training – Philip’s Story

My name is philip Samson Kuchinga .I come from Malawi, the warm heart of Africa. am married to Enelesi with two girls Priscilla and Comfort. I am a pastor currently serving the lord here in Lilongwe, Malawi.
I love the lord because he saved me and called me to be the shepherd of his people.
My mission is to evangelize the lost , disciple those won to Christ and deploy them. I believe God has called me to fulfil
this mission.

I was born in a Christian family and grew up in a Christian environment but my relationship with the Lord wasn’t good. When I was 17, a friend invited me to his church. The service was powerful and I got attracted to attend for several weeks.
One Sunday the Holy Spirit spoke to me strongly that I couldn’t resist. I gave my life , confessed and repented my sins. The Lord saved me and now I am a new creation.

After being saved I felt the lord was calling me to be a pastor. I responded to his call , went to Bible college to prepare for the ministry, and I am now in the field doing what the lord has called me for.

My desires has been to continue learning but I could not find opportunity due to lack of resources. But the Lord led me to discover CLI. I applied and started a getting started class.
I thank God for CLI to provide me free high quality online bible training.

I would like to thank CLI for giving me scholarship to continue doing more courses. My desires is to learn and get equiped for God ‘s mission and I believe my mission dreams will be fulfilled.
After the training I want to continue serve as a pastor and set up local bible training centres.
Thank you CLI For free high quality Bible training.

Elisha Masiku is a man called by God, but without the free training offered by CLI he would have been unable to pursue his calling further than his local church. Here is his testimony.

CLI studentI am writing to submit and communicate to you my personal information in brief. I am a Malawian man happily married to a wife of course with no children. My family and I love God so much and we shall live to serve Him as our heavenly Father who has saved millions of Malawians. As a Malawian, I would like to inform you that God has done a lot in our country, even though we are having problems in doing what God wants us to do in line with His word in its entirety of context without missing some fundamental truth of God. I Love God, for He so loved the world that He gave only begotten son that who so ever believes in him SHOULD NOT PERISH BUT HAVE EVER LASTING LIFE.

I became the beloved of Christ empowered to God’s sonship when I was 13 years of age. Indeed I should indicate that I do not have much to testify about how I got saved at that age. I only remember that the one who adopted me loved God very much. In fact he is the pastor of Peace ministries Church of God, who could not resist preaching the word of God to me. I accepted right away the anointed word of Christ. I want to follow the example of this pastor in a sense of becoming a pastor too with several college papered work experience as of Christian Institute.

Wonderfully at present as the one of the leaders at my Church do feels good to be a well trained member of Christ’s family with your CLI mentorship so that my fellow leaders and I can successfully lead people with conflict free leadership compared as it has been before. And as the pastor’s backup in my Church i am so grateful seeing that what I have obtained from the getting started course has already started bearing fruits to the work of God. Generally the Church has been so supportive of my ministry considering how they (people) and God have trusted me for this period of more than thirteen years of experience. I am also thankful to my family from grandparents through all family members for their support for me. I am thankful that I can have the great opportunity of studying with CLI. I truly thank God for this: especially for my mother who is alive by now and not forgetting those that died.

The scholarship is so important for me because it will help me understand how I can reach people who have been called by God.

I pray you that you should pray for me to have enough financial support so that God’s work can reach the remotest area of Malawi, which I am from, as well as other places hardly reached; which I pray shall be reached by those that I have reached with this God’s truth. Amen.

Robert Gwileni –

“I am Robert Gwileni. I live in Malawi. Malawi is divided into three regions. These regions are north, central, and south. I live in the Capital of Malawi. This is in the central region. Ministry in Malawi is a serious issue. Tradition has long been a barrier to people in Malawi. Cultural practices are the reason many people have not heard of Jesus Christ. This is particularly true in the rural areas. Poverty is another factor that hinders the spread of the gospel.

“I gave my life to Jesus Christ while I was suspended from work. During this time, I devoted more time to learning the Word of God at Church. I began experiencing God . He talked to me and fought my battles. He even caused my work suspension to be lifted. I returned to work. I continued to feed on the Word of God by attending a lunch fellowship.”Robert Gwileni
