Free Strong Christian Foundation Training – Jacquelyn Vick’s Story
My name is Jacquelyn Vick, and I am from the United States. While our first right is Freedom of Religion, our society attempts to constrict ministry more and more. Our persecution is nothing compared to what our brothers who sisters in Christ living in other nations experience, but it does exist. Our neighbors and fellow countrymen want us to stay quiet because they do not be to be offended. Matthew 11:6 “Blessed is he who does not take offense at Me.” I believe the devil is shaking in his boots because while there is an impression that he has control of my generation, he knows more men and women of valor are raising up every day. The day is coming when the United States will again be one nation under God.
I was raised in a Christian home, by a single mother who was a deacon and the Children’s pastor. My godparents are the lead elders of a church we started eleven years ago. In college, I walked away from the one, true God to pursue paganism. In July 2014, I returned to the Christian faith and am falling more and more in love with the Lover of my soul.
God blessed me with the talent of storytelling, and I write books. I have had visions of traveling on book tours, preaching in churches, presenting the themes of my Christian novels and what the Bible has to say about them. I want to take classes at CLI to have a firm foundation to write my books with, and be a preacher with a strong knowledge of Christ.
Being the goddaughter of the lead elders and the great-god-niece of another pair of elders, as well as the daughter of a deacon has placed me in a leadership role at my church. The else’s and deacons are excited, and supportive of may venture into the ministry.A number have said they see me walking into my potential.
I have done research in attending Bible College or Seminary. Financially, neither of those are options for me. Thankfully, God placed a ministry such as Christian Leaders Institute on the heart of the professors and provost who created and ran this amazing school. A scholarship to CLI means that I can get the training my heart craves. Thanks be to God!

Learn The Word of God – Emmanuel Farinu’s Story
My name is Emmanuel Olusegun Farinu. I was born on the 16th March, 1959 in Ibadan, Oyo State, South Western part of Nigeria. My parents came from a Muslim family. Both of them (father and mother went to Mecca in 1981. They were very strong in Islamic Religion.
After my primary school education, I gained admission to Christ Apostolic Church Grammar Schoo in Ibadan in 1973, for my secondary education, where I was introduced to Join Scripture Union (an interdenominational Group) by a Christian Brother, Where I met Jesus Christ, gave my life to him and became born Christian again.
During this time, when my parents heard that I became a Christian, I faced a lot of persecution. I was hated, tortured, school fees not paid, money was not given to me but thank God with the help of Christian brothers, I was able to sail through my secondary school. I was baptised on the 16th July, 1978.
I thank God that since I became a Christian, I have never been disappointed. God has been faithful to me. He has kept me in faith up to this time.I am happily married to Elizabeth Adejoke Farina and blessed with four Children.
I am presently attending Christ Apostolic Church; I am a Pastor, Sunday School teacher, A chorister and Prayer Group Leader in the church.
In 1997, I was transferred from Lagos to Abuja, one night, I was seriously sick, I could not raise my bands and legs, after praying to God, God answered and spoke to me that I should come out that night and preached the gospel. Immediately I yielded to the call, preached the gospel that night, the sickness disappeared.
The second day I narrated what happened to one of the bishops at Breakthrough Family Church in Abuja. We prayed together that day and anointed me with oil and ordained me as pastor.
My mission is to preach the gospel to those that have not heard the word and to encourage those that know God, to continue in the faith.
My prayer is that God should continue to use me for his work and also draw me closer to him everyday.
The reason I took the curse with Christian Leaders Institute is to be deeper in the word of God. I have been looking for a place to get more knowledge and understanding on the word of God, thank God I browse through the internet and I saw the website of Christian Leaders Institute.
Getting scholarship with Christian Leaders Institute will help me acquire more knowledge and understanding the word of God.. May God continue to bless the children of God working with the Institute.

Better Understand Christianity – Courtney’s Story
Hi,
My name is Courtney I am from West Monroe, Louisiana, and I am currently a Loan Processor for Ouachita Valley Federal Credit Union. I am married with one daughter who is 5 years old, and I’m expecting our 2nd baby. I was not raised in a real religious home however, my family believes in Jesus. I wasn’t taught much about Jesus growing up. In college I started to doubt God even existed, and became very involved in drinking and partying. In 2010 I had my daughter. As soon as I saw her, and realized how much she needed me to just survive; I started to become very aware of the evil around us. I felt the need to protect her from so many things that I myself had been subjected too oh too often. I feel like for a long time Satan had me convinced that neither him nor God were real. I started to be so concerned about how so many people are tricked and lied to everyday by Satan, and have no way of even knowing it, or defending themselves simply because they weren’t taught. I started really seeking God by getting baptized, started attending church regularly, and praying daily.
One afternoon I decided to go by a local Christian bookstore, and try to find an interesting book. At the time the top 2 Christian books were Radical by David Platt and Crazy Love by Frances Chan. I read both. Crazy Love by Frances Chan really changed how I viewed Christianity. I used to feel overwhelmed like their is NO WAY I’m getting into heaven. After reading Crazy Love and continuing to seek truth through Gods Word. I realized how important it is to not only believe in Jesus, but to love him unconditionally. I realized that it was not about what my religion was, but what my relationship with Jesus was like. I want to use the training I receive from CLI to help others further their relationship with Jesus, and to help myself become more in love with Jesus. I believe prayer and studying Gods Word are the best ways to get to know him. I realized quickly the more I get to know him the more I fall in love with him. Having a scholarship with CLI will help me with my confidence when speaking Gods word to someone else. I hope it will give me what I need to help others with their walk, to be a better prayer warrior, and to build up my faith. My main goal in this life is to please Jesus. I know I have a long ways to go, but I feel faithful that becoming more educated will keep me on the right path.
