Ordained Officiant Minister
My name is Martha Narvaez and I have become an ordained officiant minister. I am from Green Cove Springs, FL. I was born and raised in Puerto Rico and moved to the United States as an adolescent. Here, I finished high school, went to college and later joined the military. I have three children, now grown. So it is my husband, my cats and myself at home. We are both retired military after each serving over 20 years in the US Army. These days, I have taken the time to do all the things I was not able to do due to the military life and many deployments overseas over the years. Retirement has given me the opportunity to reflect on the past, present, and future. It has given me the chance to strengthen my beliefs. It has motivated me and given me the desire to focus on helping others. I was raised in the Roman Catholic faith, and I have learned that Christ is my Savior. Throughout my life, He has been the center of my existence.
Christian Leaders Institute has prepared me with the credentials necessary to officiate in the sacraments of baptism and marriage. It also provided me with the spiritual tools necessary for success. I have a better comprehension of the scriptures which enhances my Christian values, marriage, and family life.
Now that I have the education and confidence, I can spiritually guide couples ready to commit to a life together. I can help them understand the importance of the holy matrimony, family and how God plays an important role in it all. I feel prepared to solemnize marriages thanks to these studies. Now with my Ordained Minister credentials and a high-quality education through CLI, I know I can make a difference.

Mentoring Ministry Dream
My name is Gabe Criado. I am excited to be studying at Christian Leaders Institute on my mentoring ministry dream journey. I’m from the state of California in the United States of America. I was born in the year 1969. I grew up as an only child with a loving mother and caring stepfather. I am a father of six awesome children. They are four young ladies and two young men. My ministry dream is to have a men’s ministry, but my overall dream is to share the Gospel with all people.
I came to the hear about the Lord one day with a knock on my front door. A young man came by giving his music ministry CD to folks. After sharing the gospel with me and giving me a CD, he prayed with me. Two years later, on February 12, 2017, I accepted our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in my life. Before this, I was a man with no love and no compassion for others. I drank a lot, and I was a violent man. I was a real mess. But now, I can truly say that I have grown in Christ and I am a changed and new man. My family is loving me again and I am loving them. We are all attending church and reading our Bibles together as a family as well.
Since taking this scholarship course at Christian Leaders Institute, I am really excited about my next step. I am excited to see what the Lord has in store for me in my mentoring men ministry dream. I encourage all to make this step, so each one can grow spiritually. What a blessing and opportunity I have at CLI! God bless you all!

Youth Leader Call
Peace and Blessings! My name is Tina Taylor and I have a youth leader call to serve in God’s kingdom. I’m living in the United States. Ministry here is common and there are many schools teaching theology and ministry training. However, there seems to be a movement of a new age era where people have stopped relying on God and started believing the power is in, through and by themselves.
I came to know the Lord as a little girl through my grandmother who was a prayer warrior. She taught me how to exercise my faith and build my prayer walk. As a young child, I was always inquisitive of the wisdom and knowledge that God shares with his people. This eagerness led me to continue to strengthen my relationship. In my teenage years when I lost track and was caught up in the world, the early experience that I had at a younger age is what convicted me and brought me back.
The classes at Christian Leaders Institute have strengthened and renewed me even more. They hold me accountable for what I’ve learned and they keep me reaching toward spiritual goals as an ambassador of Christ. One of my missions and goals is to be a youth minister. As a youth leader, my hope is to work with the youth building “revival leaders” and helping guide them in a walk that is “real and reproducible”. I have always had a love and passion for children. I understand their needs and I can reach them right where they are, creating trust and giving guidance.
A unique challenge in my area is that a lot of people shun the internal call and would rather you simply be called by an existing pastor. Sometimes, this approach lacks the educational background and knowledge that formal ministry education can bring. My local church has supported me by allowing me to supervise the youth program. My desire is to be led by God and be able to identify with God’s voice, his calling, and his people. This will allow me to truly be an Ambassador for Christ. A scholarship at CLI is important to my ministry dream because it will give me the knowledge and guidance I feel I need without having to worry about the financial portion.
