Calling Journey
My name is Gordon Clark and I am on a calling journey. I am from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. I was raised Pentecostal, in a very strict religious home. There was more law than love in our home. In fact, you would earn love through the practice of biblical law. I was very good at being what I viewed as being a Christian. I was top of my Sunday School classes, and as I grew into the youth group and then the young adults, I would look down on my peers because I was at the top of every ministry. I turned every ministry I was in into an idol. Without God in my ministry, I became burned out, I started to backslide because I was not into worship or scripture reading or even prayer. I started getting doubts that maybe I wasn’t a Christian and soon after left the church.
It was a struggle for me coming back to God. I was engaged in various worldly behaviors. I was quite hedonistic in my pursuit of the flesh. I practiced other religions, experimented with Satanism and even rejected God and all things spiritual through the practice of atheism.
In my time as a prodigal, I always felt that Jesus was going to get me back like I was a fish struggling to get away but the fisher of men would always get his catch. When I got less hostile towards Christians and ended my rebellion, I was hesitant to go back to church because I felt unworthy and ashamed. I got good mentors that helped me realize my anger in the past was not to my parents, the church or even to God that it was anger at myself. So after releasing the hurt and forgiving myself and seeking forgiveness, I came to really know myself in Christ.
I came to realize that as a man my faith is not my parent’s faith. Then, I could seek my relationship with Him in grace. It took me a long time to get back into ministry but I kept hearing God telling me to pursue it. This time, He replaced my Pharisee heart, with a servant leader’s heart. I constantly thank God for my second chance. That second chance includes this free ministry training at Christian Leaders Institute on my calling journey. I will do what God wants me to do and go where God leads me.

Online Free Bible Training
I am excited to receive online free Bible training at Christian Leaders Institute. I was born in 1971 in Pakistan. I am married and a mother of three daughters. I migrated to the United Kingdom in 2015. I studied MBA-HRM, and my total work experience in administration and HR is 23 years. I was raised Christian and belonged to a church-going family. My parents taught me about God ever since I was a child. I used to call upon Him in times of severe need and thought He is the one I am worshiping and asking for my needs. The Lord’s hand was with me, but I only realized this when I received Jesus Christ as my personal Lord and Saviour and got baptized in 1998. The understanding of God’s deep love and the kind of love He wants from us took me many years to understand. But I knew God was at work in me.
I completely surrendered my life to Lord Jesus Christ in 2013, when my youngest daughter was ill and bedridden. I confessed my sins and asked God for forgiveness. I prayed that He would save the blessing He had given me. I promised that I would give my life to serve Him. The Lord heard my cry and my child was saved at that point in time. I was not sure how I was going to fulfill my promise to the Lord. But I started feeling myself under that burden. At that time, I was working with a multinational company as their permanent employee. While praying, God told me that I cannot serve two masters. Still, I didn’t understand what that meant. And how does God not want me to work when my home and family were depending on that job?
I was confused and disturbed. I wanted to serve the Lord but didn’t want to leave my job. In two years, I was working with the church and sharing the word of God with others at my workplace and at my home. But the Lord showed up in a situation where my organization was laying off some people and my name was on that list too. This was the sign from God that He wanted me completely in His service. In these hard situations, I felt closer to God and started trusting in Him because I knew He had been preparing me for this. Meanwhile, He opened other doors for me and my family, and we moved to the United Kingdom in July 2015.
Since then I have experienced God using me by sharing my testimony at different churches and the people I meet everywhere I go. He is our provider and I am His living testimony for how he has worked in me and through all aspects of life. My personal life, my marriage life, and my family life. Now I understand His love which is above everything in this World. He has been teaching, guiding and using me as His vessel. He brought me into His obedience according to His word. The Word has become alive to me. I never thought that God has chosen me ever since I was in my mother’s womb. I was blind but now I can see. He is our provider and shield of protection. His Kingdom is very near and more workers are required to harvest.
I was a regular church member of Living Branch Church in Pakistan and with the help of my Pastor, I learned a lot about God and His purpose for our lives. Here we are a regular member of Oxford Baptist Church, Hartlepool, United Kingdom. I am also a member of a women’s group meeting that is held once a week. The Holy Spirit is using me and it is such a wonderful experience the way God uses me to Glorify His name.
I have been interested to learn from this online free Bible training at Christian Leaders Institute. I desire to have further training to help me in evangelizing. My experience is that when God works in you and teaches you it’s a wonderful work of the Holy Spirit. We need to develop a relationship with the Lord every day. He will teach and guide us and shows us the path to walk on according to His promise.
As I am on a journey with the Lord so I have a hunger to know Him more through this online free Bible training at CLI, through my praying and reading the word of God on a daily basis, and by trusting Him. Sometimes, I don’t even realize when God uses me. I am not in search of becoming a pastor or deacon or having my own ministry or church. I want to serve the Lord in any way He shows me by living as an example of His work not only for my family but for others. It is all to Glorify His name forever and ever.
The Lord said, “I will teach you and I will guide you and show you the path on which you will walk.” My heart believes in Him completely and I am walking by faith. CLI mentioned that through the online free Bible training we will discover whether we are under any calling from God to serve Him. Right now, He has shown me that my purpose is to tell others about the Kingdom of Heaven. Jesus is coming soon.

Online Christian College Education
My name is Rajesh Khadka and I am receiving online Christian college education for free at Christian Leaders Institute. I am from the mountainous country of Nepal situated in South Asia between India and China. I am 24 years old. I completed my MBA recently from one of the colleges in Kathmandu. I am currently working in United Mission To Nepal for the earthquake victims with multiple integrated project components. I am designated as Finance Assistant. I was baptized in the year 2007 by my Pastor. Currently, I am a member of Asim Church which is a part of Asim Ministry. I am also serving as Youth Leader and worship leader. I am also the coordinator of Asim Ministry.
To recall my childhood, I grew up in a slum area of Kathmandu with not much money or possessions. My family had to struggle a lot financially. It was a difficult time for my family. Through God’s grace, I had some good people around me who were willing to sponsor my education. With their help, I was able to enroll in a good school and this made me prosper in the knowledge of God. I was slowly going through my grades.
Then the greatest tragedy happened when my father passed away when I was 12. This made me broken from within and the whole family was torn apart. Six months after the death of my father, my mom left me. Then, God sent my sister as my guardian and she raised me after those years. I stayed with her until my high school. She helped me a lot to make me the person that I am today.
My church pastors and leaders were also helping me through my tough times. I graduated from my high school with good marks and then got admitted to a university for my bachelor’s degree. During this time, I was working as Admin & Finance Officer in Space Overseas Pvt Ltd. I was also focusing on God’s Kingdom during this time. I was working with youth and Sunday School teaching. I sometimes led the worship at the Saturday service in my church.
Asim ministry consists of 12 different churches. One of the churches is in Bhaktapur district and the rest of the churches are in Dolakha district. Dolakha district is a mountainous district and consists of the rural areas. The ministry works through these churches and helps these churches to spread the Gospel of God to these places. The people are deeply rooted in their customs, traditional norms, and values. Most of the people follow Hinduism as their religion and are heavily influenced by their religion. The Christians are having a difficult time in preaching the Gospel of God in these places. Recently, seven Christians were arrested for preaching the Gospel of God. They were put in jail for more than a week and later released. Such are the conditions where my ministry reaches.
Despite all the difficulties, we are happy to reach out to the people with the message of God and give them the gifts of God with Bibles, templates, and other various materials. Being a coordinator of the ministry, I am responsible for getting together different events and setting out various strategies for reaching out to more people. I try to make several contacts within or outside of the organization for the betterment of the people and the ministry.
The recent earthquake in Nepal severely damaged the churches in the ministry. Eleven out of the 12 churches were completely collapsed and the believers had to attend fellowship under a tarp. This caused the ministry financial difficulty. The ministry had to go through a restoration process of these churches and this was possible through several helping hands and prayer. The restoration process is not still completed, but I am very sure that God has a plan for the restoration of these churches. I am optimistic about the direction where this ministry is heading.
My main aim in life is to serve the Kingdom of God. I want to reach the maximum number of people with the message of God. I want to tell them that there is hope even during the darkest of days and that the only hope in life is Jesus Christ. Through Christian Leaders Institute, I want to develop the insight and knowledge of biblical perspectives for reaching out to the people. I want to learn how to be an effective leader and how to be an example as I lead my youth, the church, and the ministry. I want to understand the will of God in my life through the study of the courses at CLI in this online Christian college education.
Thank you all for having such a wonderful concept of providing online Christian college education and required certificates. This will provide a wonderful opportunity for people like me who cannot afford the fees to attend a college. I am able to acquire God’s knowledge and wisdom from the place where I am now through CLI.
