My name is Saviour Brain Tetteh. I was born in Ghana, in 1975, to Mr. Joseph Tetteh and Edith Norngor, both of blessed memory. I have five other siblings, two brothers and three sisters, two of which are younger than me.

I completed my basic education in 1991, and then proceeded to pursue my secondary education, which I completed in 1995. I had a difficult childhood. While in school at the primary level, I had to live with extended family members at various times. During those years I also worked to raise money for my school fees and to support my mother in her business. Looking back, I believe God was preparing me for a greater work in the future. After my secondary education I pursued a career in teaching at one of the national colleges. In my quest for knowledge, I also pursued a program in public relations, legal studies, educational psychology and operations management. Since then, I have served in various capacities including headmaster, supervisor, counselor, school chaplain, scripture union president and many others.

How I came to know the Lord was a divine arrangement. After my basic education in the village, my mother sent me to the city to live with my late uncle’s wife. During those years I had a lot a of difficulties, which affected my academic work. Then in 1993, my elder brother returned from Zambia, and he took a keen interest in my personal development. He was a strong Christian and led me to the Lord that same year. It was a wonderful experience and a great moment in my life.

The Lord started using me for His purposes and I began to affect other young people. I became the Bible study leader for the scripture union and eventually became the president, as well as the senior prefect, in my school. The Lord opened doors for me to preach His word in many secondary schools with great power and manifestations of His presence. Looking back, I am grateful to God for using my older brother as a channel to save me. Since then I have also received the gift of the Holy Spirit and often the Lord manifests Himself to me in various ways.

My dream is to pursue missions work around the world, starting with my own country, and to serve God’s Kingdom however He sees fit. This is a challenge because most churches here do not commit resources to missionary work and sometimes they even suppress one’s initiatives. I have, however, received ministry training from my church over the years, which has greatly contributed to my growth in ministry, and I am thankful to my senior pastor for his support. In the meantime, I have also started a ministry for young couples in Ghana called, “Young Couples Net World,” and have began a prayer initiative for international missionaries.

A scholarship at this time would greatly impact my missionary work in this nation and around the world. I would appreciate prayer that the Lord would enable me to finish the work He has given me to do. I am also praying for the entire Christian Leaders Institute staff, may God richly bless you.

Hi, my name is Justice. I live in the United States in St. Albans, WV. I began my journey with the Lord in the fifth grade. My Sunday school teacher led me to the Lord. I faithfully attended church and when I was in the youth group I attended youth camps. At the first youth camp I attended I knew that I was called to ministry. I also knew that I would someday marry a Pastor. I heard all of this from God so clearly.

After graduating high school I was ready to begin, to do what I was called to do. God has called me to the missions field to help those who have similar testimonies as mine. God has called me to eventually go to Haiti and work with orphans. I went to International House of Prayer University for a semester and then recently moved back home because I felt led to. I wasn’t sure what to do when I did return home, but that is when I discovered CLI. CLI has truly changed my life. I feel that it is giving me all the right training, I just love it! My church has helped me by their support as well.

I ask that you pray for my faithfulness in pursuing God! I praay that God will bless CLI for everything that they are doing. Thank you.

– Justice

CLI Note: We are so excited for every student both our older and younger, men and women. We are honored and excited to be the place where a young woman called to ministry can pursue her ministry calling. We know that the young will evangelize the next generations for Christ.

My name is Katie Andrews, and I live in the United States. I have five beautiful children and am married to my best friend. I live in a small town in Southeast Missouri, which is in an area called the Bible Belt. There are churches on almost every block. Being a Christian in this area is pretty much the norm, but I grew up a bit differently. I grew up without having God in my life because my father was an atheist and church wasn’t something we took part in. The only time I ever remember going to church as a child was when my parents wanted a babysitter. When my parents divorced years later, my father turned to God. He tried several churches at the time and eventually found what he as looking for in a Jehovah’s Witness Church. I went with my dad quite often and really enjoyed the Bible studies, but being a teenager that didn’t last long, I had to learn everything the hard way.

I married young and had two wonderful boys, but the marriage broke up due to my husband’s drug addiction. Before I knew it, I was in yet another relationship and pregnant. I didn’t even really know the man and yet I married him. It was a bad marriage. We had three children together, a boy and two girls, before the marriage ended. A couple of relationships and five years later, I met my current husband. It was through him that my eyes were really opened to the Lord. His family is full of preachers. He got me going to church, and the more I listened, the more I wanted to know. This time I started marriage on the right foot by being married in the church and saying my vows before the Lord.

Recently I have been asked to help start a youth ministry with my husband. I’m thrilled and honored that they would think of me for such an important task. I would love to reach my goal of becoming the best Christian I can be and also, to be able to help others who are struggling, to see that all we need is to look to the Lord. I’ve never been involved in something like this before, but my husband has told me that this is my calling and that it was God who chose me.

One of the main reasons I am pursuing this ministry is because I want my children to grow up in a home that loves the Lord. I don’t want them to go through all the hardships that I did. I was searching for love and finally found it in Jesus. Now I know that no one could ever love me more than the Lord and that He had something better for me all along. No one has to accept the life they are presently living, Jesus died on the cross so that we can all be healed and made whole.

My local church has welcomed me and my calling with open arms. They are starting a new youth program and in time, they are hoping to build a second building for the youth ministry. It is such an exciting time for our church. We have such a wonderful church family. My family is also very supportive of my ministry dream.

Having a scholarship to Christian Leaders Institute would help me to further my Christian education, help me to reach my ministry goals, and help bring me closer to God. I would really appreciate prayer for me and my new adventure of working with the youth ministry.
