My name is Scott Hutton, and I presently live in Sitka, Alaska, USA. I have had an awesome experience at Christian Leaders Institute getting these free Bible School courses online in my home. I have enjoyed the flexibility of the classes, the ability to be able to work ahead and to fit classes in whenever I have time (because the videos and readings are always available). I have met multiple brothers and sisters on chat and with the message board, their lives and profiles always inspire me. I enjoy logging onto my page and seeing how many of my fellow students are hungry for the word of God and desire to draw nearer to Him on a consistent basis. I have inspired my father-in-law to start taking these free Bible school courses online for his benefit. We have grown closer together from sharing with one another what we are learning, sometimes on a daily basis. I feel constantly encouraged to seek more knowledge by reaching for the different certificates and diplomas.

Since I have accepted my call to minister (serve), I have been burdened to show myself approved, to train myself in godliness, and CLI is giving me that opportunity. For that, I am eternally grateful. I believe that my ordination will speak to others as to the time I have put into seeking truth in the scriptures. But most importantly, I feel that it will be a constant reminder to me, that I am to be actively seeking and modeling the word of God for myself, my family and my neighbors.

I guess the ministry that I would most identify with would be a small group leader. As for right now I am seeking God’s face for the baptism of the Holy Spirit and His direct calling on my life. I know that I am called to do more than just sit in a pew, so I desire to prepare for whatever God has for me. I want to be a good servant, to spread the good news, and to be effective in my work for Christ.

Before I left Cleveland, I served as a parking lot attendant, a teacher for pre-teens, and I spoke to various groups about the gospel. Since I have been in Sitka I have been asked to speak to teenagers in and outside of my church, I have stepped into a role with the Civil Air Patrol as a character development instructor, and I have begun the process to be a lay leader (chaplains assistant) in my Coast Guard unit. My pastor has also taken me on for personal mentoring, I truly believe that God has led me to this remote location just to learn from him.

I live on an island created by volcanoes in southeast Alaska, because of the location, the mindset of the people is a very small town. This is great in that people are very friendly and welcoming but they are also very set in their ways. The downside is the lack of mobility to be exposed to the rest of the world and the opportunities to try different things. The other challenge is the difficulty of getting supplies here, and the lack of visitors.

My pastor believes I have a gifting to a pastor but that I lack the confidence in my abilities and my walk. He and my new church family have opened their church and homes and hearts to me in a way that I don’t have space to explain. These people love me, and I love them back. I have never in my life felt more encouraged to draw nearer to my God. My pastor has opened up his library and his office to me and when I am ready, he will open up his pulpit to me. I discuss all that I am doing in CLI with him, and he is teaching me even more in addition. CLI has given me a more structured and well-rounded view of the ministry.

I have a big brother in the ministry that served as my mentor in Cleveland, and he wants to plant a multilingual church in Tampa ay, Florida. I have told him that I would love to come help him with that endeavor if it is God’s will. I am also looking at starting a prison outreach at the local jail here in Sitka, but I’m not quite sure how to start. Lastly, I need prayers for strength and obedience. It seems that I will be moving into a season soon where I will be feeding people multiple times a week, and I need to stay organized and encouraged.  God bless you, Amen! These Free Bible School Courses Online have changed my life!

The LORD blesses you and keep you; the LORD makes His face shine on you and be gracious to you; the LORD turns His face toward you and give you peace. Numbers 6:24-26 NKJV

And he awoke and rebuked the wind and said to the sea, “Peace! Be still!” And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. Did He say to them, “Why are you so Afraid? Have you still no faith?” And they were filled with great fear and said to one another, “Who then is this? That even the wind and sea obey him?” -Mark 4:39-41

I’m Timothy, and I’m from Indonesia. The reason I joined as a student at Christian Leaders Institute is because I feel that I’ve been very blessed as a Christian, and I often dream that people everywhere should show their relationship with God through the great love they show towards other people.

I hope a scholarship with CLI will open up for me an opportunity to do more ministry, and therefore reach more people with sound doctrinal teaching. I feel that by having myself filled with the knowledge that CLI provides, I will have the needed discipline to lead others to a deeper knowledge of Christian living.

I also feel that most people never come to understand the fullness of God’s grace because of faulty doctrine. As a result Christian living I see is really a lackluster version of what God intended for us. People are also beaten down by their circumstance and the spirit of the age. I hope I can be a part of the movement for the much needed revival. I hope I’m not held guilty of pride for saying that.

For honesty’s sake, I know I have a long way to go before I can exhibit the character Christ wants me to have to be able to touch other people in a way that people need. In part it’s because I’m usually dependent on other people. So, pray for me, that I may be processed to better fit His purposes for my life, whatever it may be.
God bless! Cheers!

Bless day, my name is Robert B. Harrington and I currently live in Beaver, West Virginia which is located in the United States. To do ministry in this country is probably easier than in most other countries. With so much freedom in our daily lives here not much is questioned about what is said or done. There are a lot of churches in this country and a lot of different religious backgrounds. This can make finding a church like shopping for a car. Trying to find all those added features that a church can add to your live. But the only feature that we really truly look for in a church is the true belief in God and his word.

I come from a family that was raised Christian and started my journey with God in a Christian church in a small town in Colorado. I would go to church with my Mom and sister’s, of course my Grandparents would also be there. I was baptized at the First Christian Church in Lamar, Colorado but at such a young age never really understood what was going on. It was my senior year in high school that I really came to know and understand the Lord. Attending the Church Of Christ I got my first taste of writing and giving a sermon as part of the youth group. This church really allowed me to learn more about God and share so much.

At the age of eighteen I joined the Navy and the journey began as they would say. The most rewarding visit in my Navy career was the trip to Israel. Paying the eighteen dollars for the tour of the Holy Land was well worth it. Seeing things that you read about in the Bible and walking the same walk Jesus did, well let’s just say it puts life in a whole new prospective.

What really brought me closer to the Lord was my car accident a few years back. Coming home from work I had blacked out and hit a car head on, veered off across a field and hit a tree head on. I was out for a long time and my heart had stopped during this time. To this day I feel as if I died and came back. This put my current life in to a different perspective. It was at that time that I felt like I needed to do much more with my life then work in the retail world.

The title that I identify with the most is Pastor and Youth leader. The title of Pastor gives you a sense of trust and connection with God. Youth leader just radiates a since of wanting to connect with the young children to communicate Gods words to them and bring them in an everlasting relationship with the Lord.

I’m currently working on a project called NWOG, which means Never Without Our God. Have I started a Facebook page called NWOG ministries. It’s still in the early development stages. My goal is to reach out to people and teach them the way of the Lord, share with them stories of life and how God has connected with them. What I’m currently learning at CLI would greatly enhance my teachings and knowledge. To learn as much about the Bible and Gods word is such an honor and blessing to me. Thanks to your free online course my potential is unlimited. One day I pray that I’m blessed to be able to go out and share Gods word with everyone. Explain his word to my fellow brothers and sisters in Christ. With my teachings from your institute I can do this with a higher level of confidence. With prayer and guidance from the Lord, to do it in such a way that would be glorious.

Please keep me in your prayers that my dream of sharing the word of God will be done correctly and positively, I look forward to learning more from CLI in pursuit of my dream of becoming a pastor one day. Thank you for offering this education for free. Sharing such important information and doing it at such a affordable cost is a blessing. I look forward to sharing your website with many more people so they to can also learn more about our God. Please pray for my NWOG ministry that it will help to reach out to many people that are not sure about how God really can touch their lives.

Lord, I give thanks for your blessing each day, Your Word is a delight to read each and every day. Amen.
