Better Understand Christianity – Courtney’s Story
Hi,
My name is Courtney I am from West Monroe, Louisiana, and I am currently a Loan Processor for Ouachita Valley Federal Credit Union. I am married with one daughter who is 5 years old, and I’m expecting our 2nd baby. I was not raised in a real religious home however, my family believes in Jesus. I wasn’t taught much about Jesus growing up. In college I started to doubt God even existed, and became very involved in drinking and partying. In 2010 I had my daughter. As soon as I saw her, and realized how much she needed me to just survive; I started to become very aware of the evil around us. I felt the need to protect her from so many things that I myself had been subjected too oh too often. I feel like for a long time Satan had me convinced that neither him nor God were real. I started to be so concerned about how so many people are tricked and lied to everyday by Satan, and have no way of even knowing it, or defending themselves simply because they weren’t taught. I started really seeking God by getting baptized, started attending church regularly, and praying daily.
One afternoon I decided to go by a local Christian bookstore, and try to find an interesting book. At the time the top 2 Christian books were Radical by David Platt and Crazy Love by Frances Chan. I read both. Crazy Love by Frances Chan really changed how I viewed Christianity. I used to feel overwhelmed like their is NO WAY I’m getting into heaven. After reading Crazy Love and continuing to seek truth through Gods Word. I realized how important it is to not only believe in Jesus, but to love him unconditionally. I realized that it was not about what my religion was, but what my relationship with Jesus was like. I want to use the training I receive from CLI to help others further their relationship with Jesus, and to help myself become more in love with Jesus. I believe prayer and studying Gods Word are the best ways to get to know him. I realized quickly the more I get to know him the more I fall in love with him. Having a scholarship with CLI will help me with my confidence when speaking Gods word to someone else. I hope it will give me what I need to help others with their walk, to be a better prayer warrior, and to build up my faith. My main goal in this life is to please Jesus. I know I have a long ways to go, but I feel faithful that becoming more educated will keep me on the right path.

Free Ministry Leader Training – Robert Johnson’s Story
Hi, my name is Robert lee Johnson Jr. I was born in Winchester Va, United States of America. I have lived in Va most of my life,However, I have lived in NC. FL. and MS.
I came to learn of the LORD when I was A small child, My Aunt Cathy always took us to church, So I knew of Jesus my entire life, However, I didn’t live in such away, I was very worldly I went through a lot of sinning and a lot of pain before I gave my life to Jesus. I will share a small testimony, I was on drugs, booze, and all worldly ways, and one day I was on Chrystal meth riding down the road with a girlfriend and I started thinking I was tired of this life I was living, So I tell her to pull over and let me out, so she did. I Got out on highway 53 in saucier Ms. I proceeded to walk down the road angrily, and started screaming at the top of my lunges ” GOD I GIVE UP TAKE ME DO WITH ME WHAT YOU WANT I CANT LIVE LIKE THIS ANYMORE!!!!!!” It seems like only five minutes went by and a friend I once partied with named “Gary Johnson” ( no relation to me) pulled over and said what you doing I said very little ,I got in the van he was driving and when I got in I looked around and seen a few homeless person and before I could ask he said he had gave his life to Christ and was ministering and helping the homeless people and was on the way to his Church I was very impressed and eager also, I shared with him what I had just done and he carried me to the church where I was saved. However, I I backslid a few times but always looked back to God and now I’m on fire for God and doing His will !!
My ministry dream is to let the Holy Spirit to guide me the entire way and do Gods will nothing of my own. I want to lift up God bring people to meet and know God and I know I can only do this with The Holy Spirit leading me and I feel he Led me to this course. To learn how to be a worthy leader.
I feel the challenges we face in America today is The country is kicking God out, allowing pagan ways and immoral things to take place such as gay marriage, abortion which I see no difference in pagan child sacrifice, and a boat load of legal drugs that are killing many ect… most of all the crooked government is bringing Judgment to this land and many are to blind in the world to see it. that’s where we come in.
A scholarship at CLI is important to me for a couple reasons first to teach me how to be a great ministry leader, to build my confidence, also to give me a sense of accomplishment.
How you can pray for me and my ministry is simple ,Pray the Holy Spirit lead the entire way and keep me on the right tract ,and keep me focused at all times. Thank You for this opportunity.

Nigeria Global Ministry Training – Oluwatosin’s Story
Hello, my name is Oluwatosin Adeola from Nigeria, a father of two children (a boy and a girl) and husband to Katmaan for over six years. I was raised up as the third child in a family of seven (six boys and one girl) in Ekiti state, Nigeria, West Africa.
I live in Jos, north-central Nigeria where I have been involved in ministry to the lost, the sick and young believers since 2010. Being in ministry in this part of the country is quite challenging due to the low education level and a high level of tribalism that has made the people difficult to reach. But with the wisdom of God, we have been publishing newsletters and tracts that have made reaching the interiors possible.
I came to know the Lord at a tender age of 8, really I did not know much about God at this age, but I had this consciousness of God and His ever presence that I was always afraid to sin against Him. I grew up in this way and today my life has not remained the same.
In 2002, as a University student, I became aware that God was calling me into ministry and after days of seeking His face, I receive a mandate to teach people the way to serve God. Later in 2013, I was given another mandate to minister healing to the sick. These two areas have formed my ministry dream that am currently pursuing. I have ministered in a different capacity as a Pastor/Teacher, Youth leader, and church planter. But am being identified as a Pastor since my ordination in 2007 as a Youth Pastor and in 2009 as Assistant Pastor.
Before I receive the call into ministry, I have longed for a revival in the church. I have been heart-broken several times when I see Christians living a worldly life especially when Christians practice hypocrisy. I believe God gave me those passions before calling me. In the area of healing, I happen to be someone who relies on God for healing without drugs. For instance, I have not taken the antimalarial drug in the last 25 years and have been healed from malaria several times by believing the word.
Despite the valid call of God upon my life, I have not gotten enough support needed, but I praise God for the strength to continue. I have longed to have training from an international organization to boost my understanding.
Obtaining a scholarship from CLI will help fulfill my dream of adequate ministry training and enable effectiveness and establishment of a legacy that will transcend generations. My coming across CLI, I will say is a miracle and am willing to do my best to maximize it. God has called me into a global ministry and training at CLI will be a rare advantage to moving in this direction.
I desire prayer in the fulfillment of my ministry. Like Paul, that doors of opportunity will be opened in every place that God would have His word preached. And for helpers of destiny raised for the furtherance of His mission.
