My Journey to Free Ministry Study
I am Elwina Jackil, and here is my journey to free ministry study. Originally from the Philippines, my birth date is Dec. 26, 1970. I finished my Bachelor of Arts degree at Saint Ferdinand College. Since I was a child, I attended a Catholic Church, and I’ve been a lector too as a Catechist. A local pastor shared the gospel with me, but at that time, I didn’t entertain it.
A Move on My Journey to Free Ministry Study
However, when I came to Korea, my life began to change. I didn’t have any plan of going abroad, but because of family problems, I decided to go overseas to Korea. I prayed and trusted my life to God. So, I prayed that He would bring me to a place where I can praise Him at all times and feel like I am near to my family. God is so good to me. He answered my prayer. He brought me to a Mission house where all of those living there were Filipino. It felt like home.
My life began to change, and I started attending a Christian worship service. I received baptism and accepted Jesus Christ with my whole heart as my Lord and Savior. I have many struggles in life, but by God’s grace, I’m still here seeking and trusting Him.
My Ministry Dream on My Journey to Free Ministry Study
My dream is to build my own prayer house for my family. If I’m financially able, I want to create a foundation to help people who are in need. I especially want to help those children who don’t have anything in our country. Coming from a low-income family, I know how it feels to have nothing. I accomplished my college degree through self-support. After I finished college, however, I never used my education or applied it to my source of living.
Therefore, I felt empty. I asked God what my gift and my purpose in life was on my journey to free ministry study. So when I came to Korea, my life changed when I attended church worship. I became a Deaconess in our church. I came to know more about Jesus when I started attending our Bible Study. It is headed by our beloved and energetic Pastor Irwin B. Noriega.
My Pastor Shared CLI
I sincerely thank Pastor Noriega because he introduced me to Christian Leaders Institute and encouraged me to study there for free. He was and is my mentor on my journey to free ministry study. CLI training helps me to become closer to God and stronger in my faith in knowing God and seeking Him. And I realized what was God’s purpose in my life.
I hope and pray by God’s grace to use my Christian Leaders Institute training in my ministry. I pray that my dreams come true to help people in my country of the Philippines and encourage them to come closer to God.

Free Children’s Ministry Courses at CLI
Hello, my name is Angela Gidron, and I am studying the free children’s ministry courses at CLI. I live in Columbia, SC, USA. South Carolina is where I have lived most of my life since this is where my father retired from the Marine Corps when I was seven. I am the older of two children with a younger brother. My mother was a brilliant teacher of mathematics.
Journey to Children’s Ministry Courses Started With a Love of the Bible
My mother always kept my brother and me in church. Even as a child, I was fascinated with the Bible. Since my brother was seven years younger, there were a few years where I was a latchkey kid. Those years gave plenty of time to my imagination and reading the World Book, Child Craft, and the Bible.
My childhood prepared me for my calling and taking children’s ministry courses. I had so many questions. There were things I didn’t understand about our family’s transition from the military to civilian life. My dad came from Vietnam, an alcoholic, and my mom, therefore, seemed to withdraw more and more every day. My mom and dad couldn’t help me with things that were happening in my life. I also questioned God for much of my young life. I asked about my worthiness: was I cursed, was I loved, was I a child of God, why me….?
Struggles and Calling on Jesus
My teens were tumultuous with bad experiences and bad decisions. I had a kind heart like my mother. However, that led to me being hurt by people or finding myself in the wrong situations. I also ended up suffering from depression for over twenty years.
I always knew to call on Christ Jesus. One of those nights, I was crying, “LORD, have mercy on my soul! I rest everything in your hands!” That was it! It was a revelation! A peace I had never felt before came over me, and I have been smiling ever since! I have joy in my life now, and, no matter the circumstances, God’s grace covers me sufficiently.
Children’s Ministry Courses at CLI
Currently, I play the organ/keyboard and am over the Children’s ministry at my church. Children’s Ministry is my true passion! I am pursuing these free children’s ministry courses at Christian Leaders Institute to better prepare myself as a leader in my church. My prayer is that these children’s ministry courses will equip me for what the Lord has assigned me to do. Through His anointing, I will become the vessel that He calls me to be.

My Journey to Free Bible Schooling at CLI: My Side Walk and My Salvation Walk
My name is Joseph Nyamari, and I am excited about free Bible schooling at CLI. From Kenya, East Africa, I am 51 years old, a born again Christian, and love Jesus, my Lord, and my Savior. My local church is Rehema Pentecostal Assemblies of God, situated in Migori Town, Kenya. My spiritual father/mentor is Rev. John Okari, who is also the Senior Pastor. I am a father of two children – a daughter and a son. Though separated from their mother, I am trusting God for a restoration of my marriage.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in Linguistics and Philosophy from the Kenyatta University of Kenya. I also completed a Postgraduate Diploma course in Mass Communication from The School of Journalism, University of Nairobi, though I did not graduate due to financial constraints.
My Side Walk on My Journey to Free Bible Schooling
What I refer to as my sidewalk started in my childhood. I was born into a Roman Catholic Church family. They were staunch adherents. My father died when I was barely five years old, and so I did not get to know much of him. Although, they told me he was a staunch Christian. I was brought up by my mum, who ensured I got oriented wholly into the Catholic Church. I am grateful to her because she introduced me to God. Therefore, I grew up us a God-fearing person. It is my “side walk” because though I knew about God, Jesus, and the Roman Catholic teachings, I never got to experience a personal relationship with my Creator and my Savior.
As a young boy, I felt a strong calling to join the priesthood. As a result, I spent the whole of my boyhood serving as an altar boy. When I attended High School, this went a notch higher because my school was owned by the Catholic Church and run by Catholic Brothers. The brothers’ influence made me change my ministry calling from priesthood to brotherhood. I now aspired to become an ordained Roman Catholic Brother.
As I advanced in my High School education, the brothers took me in as “visitor” in their formation house. It was the initial stage towards training into the brotherhood. However, the story changed when I got excellent grades in my studies. There developed a negative and hostile attitude towards me from my fellow trainees and the Brothers themselves. Later, I learned that they were all scared of my academic excellence. This animosity made me drop out of the training. I am glad I did because I could still be side-walking with my God today in the name of serving Him.
My Salvation Walk on My Journey to Free Bible Schooling
With the advent of the Pentecostal Movement in Kenya, I became curious but suspicious of the born again Christians. I assisted one priest in doing an anti-born-again movie called “Je Umeokoka?” which translates as “Are You Really Saved.” This movie was a mockery of the Pentecostal Movement portraying them as mere pretenders.
But as time went by, the Lord drew me closer to Him as I listened keenly to the messages of the preachers. Finally, I accepted Jesus as my Savior in the year 2001 through a Kenyan radio evangelist. Later, I joined a PEFA church in Kahawa West, Nairobi, Kenya. That is how I started my salvation walk and my journey to free Bible schooling.
My Ministry Calling and Free Bible Schooling at CLI
As for my ministry calling, it had grown cold. Then, my current local church pastor and my spiritual mentor approached me with a proposal. He wanted me to take up a ministry role in our church. This proposal took me by surprise, but I told him to give me time to pray about it. I prayed and prayed. It was clear that the Holy Spirit was ministering to me. Thus, I remembered my childhood call to ministry and accepted my pastor’s proposal. The Holy Spirit further guided me to seek training to gain ministry competency and confidence.
I couldn’t afford formal ministry training. Therefore, I went online and searched for free Bible schooling. While searching, the Holy Spirit guided me to Christian Leaders Institute. I am grateful I found CLI. God is doing a new and powerful Kingdom fulfillment in me through the ministry training with CLI. For anybody out there seeking ministry training, CLI is your one-stop site. Long live, CLI!
