Becoming a Trained and Ordained Minister
My name is Paul Venter, and I am studying at CLI for becoming a trained and ordained minister. I live in the town of Middelburg in the central highveld of South Africa. About six years ago, at a men’s retreat just before going to sleep, I heard a call for me to study theology. The next day during one of the lectures, I received a prophecy about leading people in ministry. I received basically the same prophecy a few years earlier but had all but forgotten about it.
At that stage, I was sure that I was not called to ministry, or that was my feeling at least. However, I felt an urgency to start studying. My studies began in 2013, and I received my Bachelor of Theology in 2019, and am at present working on my Masters.
Growth in My Walk with God
Up to the time I started my studies, my walk with God was more or less confined to Sunday church service. However, that began to change as I started getting more involved at church and in worship ministry. I was involved in worship ministry for several years before that but had no real relationship with God other than on Sundays.
My studies opened up the Word of God to me. I could sense a change in who I was, or rather, was becoming. For some time now, I worked in counseling. It strengthened the call to do more for the Lord. I have sensed a call to minister to the local motorbiking community. This community is a significant ministry field where I can connect with other bikers being a motorcycle enthusiast myself.
Discovering CLI for Becoming a Trained and Ordained Minister
I stumbled upon the Christian Leaders Institute while searching for information about ordination. I believe that one should be ordained and sent out to do God’s work in ministry. Accountability with a credible institution like CLI is key. Seeking ordination at our church proved to be a very long and cumbersome process for me. So getting ordained with the training from CLI and ordination with the Christian Leaders Alliance will be a blessing for my ministry.
My prayer is that my journey with CLI will provide me with the necessary knowledge and skills to minister as effectively as possible in reaching the lost for the Lord.
Called to Become an Ordained Minister?
My name is Semiko Mapp, and I am called to become an ordained minister. I’m 39 years old and a single mother of beautiful children. I live in Chicago, IL, in the USA. Where I live is a self-reflection walk for me. The people need a deeper faith walk. God has brought me to this place to restore, revitalize, refocus, and know what’s important.
My Journey
My childhood was pretty good. I’m the youngest with two older brothers and one older sister. My family was always involved in the church. My grandmother kept us in the Bible. I remember as a child, my sister and I had to read verses from the Bible. I enjoyed it. However, as I got older, I no longer read the Bible or went to church as much. I became disconnected from the body in Christ.
As the years flew by, I birthed my children and lived in everyday life. Godly things were not part of my life. Then, times got a little rough, and I knew I need to get back in alignment. I joined a church again and received baptism.
My spiritual dream was to be a motivational speaker. I felt that my story could touch the lives of others. I began to read more, study the Word, and attend church every Sunday. My walk faced many obstacles, but by the grace of God, I was able to overcome.
Faithful God
There was a time I thought I had it all together. I worked at a well-known company. Then one day, I faced the challenge of losing that job and living out of my savings account. At that moment, I realized how much I needed God because He could turn my situation around.
I humbled myself to unmask what I was hiding. God revealed himself to me, and I knew he would restore me. I talked to God and got connected, and I read the Bible.
Become an Ordained Minister
A thought that came across my mind late last year and early this year, “I should become an ordained minister.” I want to have a closer walk with God. So, one day, I did a web search. As I searched, the Christian Leaders Institute came up. I knew CLI had to be from God because this opportunity fell right into my lap.
From that moment, I knew I needed to buckle down and get started. CLI has so many programs to help you with your spiritual walk. Therefore, my hopes are high! God has provided CLI for me. CLI allows me to work my full-time job and study on my own time. And the courses at CLI are also free. My studies at CLI will deepen my faith, increase my personal life, and step up my walk with God. Thank you, CLI!

Ministry Leadership Education
My name is Lanna Tiffany, and I am receiving free ministry leadership education at CLI. At the age of 12, I gave my life to the Lord. I grew up in the church, and throughout my life, I always knew who God is and what He wants for His children. I lived with my mother as a young child and was along for the ride due to her addiction. God had His hand of protection around me throughout that season of my life. I overcame many trials and tribulations.
Even after I became saved, I continued to go through storms. For a time, I entered a dark phase of my own life. I wanted to die and attempted suicide many times. However, the Lord knew that I have a purpose. I didn’t understand what was special about me for a long time and had an addiction for years.
During recovery from all of my issues, the Lord graced me with Life. I became a nurse and had a beautiful family. For many years, I was a strong woman. I became sick in 2013 and walked out on my family. I returned to something that God delivered me from many years prior. In the next couple of years, there were many storms, and the Lord never left my side. At the end of my relapse, I attempted to end my life one more time, and through God, I am here today to tell my story.
Faith-based Recovery
Once I entered a faith-based recovery program, I returned to the Lord. He was right where I left Him, standing right next to me! I received so many blessings from God. It was at this time that I received a calling from the Lord, “It’s all about love, Lanna.” I didn’t understand what God meant. I knew God loved me and what His love meant for me.
Recently, the Lord showed me the meaning behind His message. I went through a traumatic event with someone close to me that involved a very violent season in my life. God is saddened by the violence among His children. I have a compelling message to spread across the world to end violence and share the love that God has for ALL of us! It is the ministry God has given me.
Called to Ministry Leadership Education at CLI
Therefore, I am seeking ministry leadership education with the Christian Leaders Institute. The Lord has directed me here for further education and training, so I can effectively spread His message. I am so thankful for CLI and the courses they offer. Now is my beginning to a vision of the Lord’s calling. All Glory to God, His is the Victory!
