Hello everyone! My name is Cathy Gore, and I am excited to be studying the Bible and evangelism at the Christian Leaders Institute (Learn more about online Bible classes, Click Here). I am 57 years old and live in Greenwood, Mississippi, USA, with my wonderful husband of 13 years and our fur baby, Fudge.
My Early Years
My mother passed at the age of 31 from chronic hypertension. She left behind 5 girls ages 13, 12,11, 9, and 4 (I was 9). After her death, my grandfather moved us from Illinois to Mississippi to live with him and my grandmother. Before my mother’s death, I can’t remember attending church, although my older sisters said we did. My grandfather had not accepted Christ at the time, although he did before his death. However, my grandmother had given her life to the Lord 5 years before my mother passed.
After coming to live with them, we attended church religiously (Bible Study, Sunday School, Evening Service, Night Service). Sadly, that only lasted a few years until I lived with my Daddy in another town in Mississippi, where there wasn’t any Christian influence. But I never forgot what was instilled in me those few years. I remember my grandmother had a Bread of Life on the table. Before each meal, we picked a scripture out, read it, and said grace before eating. Further, not only did we go to church faithfully, but we also went to people’s houses for service. Even now, I can still recall wanting what those people had.
Salvation
I gave my life to the Lord in October of 2000. Since the beginning of my salvation, God always dealt with me in dreams. In one particular dream, I was on a fish bank fishing. Each time I threw my hook in the water, actually before the hook could hit the water, I was bringing in fish one after the other (I had never seen anything like it). The Spirit of the Lord spoke to me and said those are not fish in the literal sense, but they are souls that I (His vessel) would win for His Kingdom! Glory!
The journey has not always been easy. I have faced so many obstacles that have delayed the call God has on my life. However, through it all, I have never had a desire to turn back to the pleasures of sin. I wouldn’t change anything. All that we encounter in this life is for a purpose, whether good or bad, whether success or failure. I know my Father can and will work it for our good! Hallelujah!
Studying the Bible and Evangelism at CLI
I am interested in studying the Bible, God’s Word, and everything that pertains to Evangelism. My desire is to be more effective in what God has called me to do. I also have had some college experience in the past, going for my Bachelors in Psychology at a Christian University since I want to be a Christian Counselor. Then, I can help bring healing to people from a natural standpoint through the Word of God. I stopped before I got my degree because the expense was too much.
I am so thankful for the young minister that drives for FedEx. One day when making a delivery, he came in with two Christian Leaders Institute pamphlets. Normally, I would have been in my office, but I was on the main floor that day. He gave one to me and one to my coworker. I knew then that it was time for me to get about my Father’s business. My encounter with the young minister on that day was not by chance but ordained by God!
I am looking forward to learning new things at the Christian Leaders Institute to advance God’s Kingdom further. Be Blessed!

Hello, my name is Jason DiFalco, and I am excited to learn ministry and the Bible at the Christian Leaders Institute (Learn more about online Bible classes, Click Here). Born and raised in Yonkers, NY, I currently live in Melbourne, FL, since I was 22 years old.
I graduated from the Culinary Institute of America with an associate degree in culinary arts. I love cooking, but I also discovered I didn’t love it as a career. So, I obtained a CDL class A license and drove a truck for a local beverage distributor.
Praise the Lord for His Sovereignty
I’m happily married to my wife of 19 years, Darlene, and the father of 15-year-old twins. We attend an amazing church here in Melbourne. It is where the Holy Spirit entered me, and my life was changed.
I grew up not attending church regularly and didn’t go at all from a young teenager (after my confirmation) until about 39. Looking back, I definitely lived a life in sin. After I was introduced to this church, I regularly attended and finally realized I’ve been doing life wrong and not following Jesus the way I’m supposed to. During one service, I felt the Holy Spirit enter me. The Lord said to me, “You are ready!” Two weeks later, I was water baptized and proclaimed my love and belief in Jesus. It was the greatest day I’ve ever had.
Learn Ministry at CLI
I currently serve our church in guest services as well as leading a few small men’s groups. One class I lead was Kingdom Man by Tony Evans. This teaching really spoke to me on so many levels. I need to be the man God created me to be! And that’s what I intend to do.
Our associate pastor and head of our family ministries introduced me to the Christian Leaders Institute. He said CLI is a great way to learn, grow, and flourish in ministry. I feel led to focus on life coach ministry. Through experience, I know living a life in sin without Jesus is not living at all! With Jesus, we’ve already won!

My Ministry Calling
My name is Vincent Akumbi Aura, and I am thankful to learn the Bible and train for ministry at the Christian Leaders Institute (Learn more about online Bible classes, Click Here). I am from Nairobi, Kenya. Currently, I am employed and enjoy finding space and time to do ministry. I am the second born in a family of 4 children – 3 boys and 1 girl.
As a child, my family was not that spiritual. However, while growing up, we were taught the value of going to church and having a faith-based life. My mom enjoyed serving in the church as a choir member, which she sadly dropped later on. My dad never was much into church-going. His life was mainly about struggling to make ends meet to have food and the privilege of going to school.
I managed to do a diploma in IT. Then, after a few years of challenges getting a job, I got an employment opportunity. While all this was going on, I met a lady whom I immediately fell in love with. In our enjoying the sparks of romance, she got pregnant with our daughter. This, I came to discover, became a calling unto salvation.
Call unto Salvation
When our daughter was born, my wife immediately got sick and never got the privilege of caring for her baby. This escalated the events so much that I cried out to God for healing and delivering my wife. I went to the altar, gave my life to Christ, and made a covenant with God. If He would heal my wife, then I would forever dedicate my life to Him and serve Him till my last day on earth. A few months later, my wife got healed! I have kept my promise to God to-date. We now have 2 beautiful daughters.
In ministry, I started as an usher and then joined the praise and worship team. In my commitment to ministry, I was allowed to be one of the youth group leaders. From there, I went on to be a youth leader, then a youth pastor, and finally, an associate pastor. It has not been smooth sailing, as I have gone through my own fair share of ministry trials.
Wanting To Learn The Bible Led To CLI
In maintaining my walk, I created a blog where I post my motivation and teaching posts. I also look for all the available Bible-teaching sites that I can do personal studies. Thus, I have grown in my knowledge of the Word and my faith as well. At my workplace, I recruited a group of young believers who, daily, share Bible devotionals and pray with the team in every meeting.
Finding the Christian Leaders Institute site was the Lord’s doing. It has always been my passion to find a Bible institute where I can learn the Bible and train in ministry. However, most colleges are costly, and finding time to study and work is challenging for me.
I pray that God may continue holding and sustaining me as he blessed CLI in the work you have set out to do.
