Understanding Wyoming’s Requirements:

To lead weddings in Wyoming, it’s essential to be familiar with the state’s specific rules. Wyoming generally allows ordained ministers and designated representatives of recognized religions to oversee wedding ceremonies.

Wyoming’s Specific Requirements for Wedding Officiants:

  • Ordination or Authorization: In Wyoming, officiants need to be ordained ministers or authorized figures of a known religious group.
  • Documentation: If requested by local officials where the wedding is happening, officiants may need to provide proof of their ordination or authorization.
  • Legal Age: In Wyoming, those wishing to officiate a wedding must be at least 18 years old.
  • Residency: Wyoming doesn’t demand that wedding officiants reside in the state. They can come from any state or country.

Training with Christian Leaders Institute:

For those aspiring to be a wedding officiant in Wyoming, CLI provides an in-depth training program. This online course addresses crucial aspects, such as wedding ceremonies, premarital counseling, and creating wedding sermons, ensuring you fulfill Wyoming’s criteria.

Flexible Timeline:

CLI’s curriculum is adaptable. Basic ordination can be achieved with less than ten study hours and a single endorsement. For those desiring a more profound understanding and higher ordination levels, extended courses are available.

Credibility Matters:

Aligning with the Christian Leaders Alliance (CLA) lends credibility to your ordination. This association highlights your dedication to thorough preparation and validation from the wider Christian congregation, solidifying the authenticity of your ordination. Collaborating with CLA can enhance your standing in Wyoming’s Christian community and boost your ministerial legitimacy.

]Hello! My name is Jeremy Carnahan, and I am excited to share how God has transformed my life!

I was raised in a rather legalistic denomination where church and ritual memorization were vital components of our faith. While acknowledging and fearing the Lord is fundamental to our relationship with Christ, my upbringing lacked a personal bond with Him. Despite accepting His salvation, I remained entrenched in worldly ways. Given more freedom as I matured, I distanced myself from my faith, under the presumption that being saved was sufficient. Consequently, my journey was marked with mistakes.

The Seed

From a young age, an older retired pastor named Max recognized something special in me. Max, a retired Army Pastor, once approached me with a question: had I ever considered ministry? The very idea felt foreign at 14, given my dreams. But the seed was planted.

College Years

In 2001, I began at the University of Arizona, majoring in Meteorology. With my first taste of freedom and no involvement with the church, I reveled in the liberties of college life. This recklessness caught up with me, marking the end of my full college experience.

Marriage and Commitment

Returning home, I gravitated back to church. It was during this period that I met my future wife. Despite my shortcomings, she saw something in me. We got married, and together we embarked on a journey of faith, culminating in us leading the Marriage Ministry at our church.

The Real Wrestling Match

Reflecting on my youth, I recall a wrestling match where an injury marked the end of my wrestling career. This physical struggle paralleled my spiritual battle with God. Just as I lost the physical match, I lost my spiritual contest against God’s calling for me to be a pastor. Through CLI, God’s plan for my pastoral journey is unfolding.

CLI and My New Career

Being at CLI is a testament to my commitment to Christ. My first sermon, followed by others, received overwhelming support from the congregation. However, financial constraints hindered my pursuit of further education. I turned to prayer and found CLI as God’s answer.

Family and Future

I am blessed with a loving wife and three wonderful children. We currently reside in Wright, Wyoming, a small town we call home for now. We trust God’s plan for our future and remain open to where He might lead us.

If you’ve reached the end of my story, I leave you with this: If God calls you and the Spirit affirms it, embrace His will. Surrendering to Him means gaining everything. Thank you for letting me share my journey. God bless!
