Get Ordained in South Dakota – A Testimony!

Hello, my name is Ronald Moen. I currently live in the USA, in the state of South Dakota. My community is primarily focused on farming and ranching and is Ronald Moenlocated in the northeast part of the state. I am blessed to be married to my beautiful, God-fearing wife, April. We have one daughter, Valerie, who currently resides in Weatherford, Texas, working as an ER nurse. I am so grateful to have a family that loves the Lord.

I was raised in a Christian home where my parents ensured that we attended a Bible-believing church. At around the age of 14, while attending a church bible camp, I devoted my heart to the Lord. However, my commitment waned in the following years as I succumbed to worldly temptations and my own selfishness. Reflecting back, I believe a significant negative influence in my life was the rock music from the 80s. The messages in those songs and their accompanying videos influenced my actions and decisions. What we expose ourselves to, even something seemingly innocent like a song, can lead us astray. I became rebellious, ignoring wise counsel and most importantly, the voice of God.

Fast forward a few years, and I met April, a kind soul working at a local restaurant. Her beauty, both inner and outer, was unparalleled. Our relationship faced challenges; some believed we were unevenly yoked. Looking back, I understand their reservations. During our time getting to know each other, I renewed my commitment to the Lord. I had no doubt that April was the woman God intended for me. We’ve now been married for 27 years, experiencing highs and lows, but our love has always prevailed. Marriage is challenging, and though I have been imperfect, April’s unwavering support has been my foundation. Our faith, rooted in the love of God, has been the cornerstone of our union.

Together with our daughter Valerie, we’ve been members of several churches. Despite our town having many churches, we’ve chosen one located 30 miles away, and have been part of this congregation for twelve years. Our church community has been a source of immense blessings. There, I’ve been nurtured, mentored, and encouraged to serve God. I’m part of the steward board, and we’re committed to grounding our decisions in scripture. We are occasionally tasked with delivering sermons, which has deepened my personal relationship with God’s Word.

Embracing my role in the Lord’s army has been humbling. I trust in God’s plan for my life, seeking His guidance daily. I constantly pray for His grace and mercy. My journey reminds me of the words of Paul in 1 Timothy: “Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners – of whom I am the worst. But for that very reason, I was shown mercy so that in me, the worst of sinners, Christ Jesus might display his immense patience as an example for those who would believe in him and receive eternal life.”

To God be the glory. His judgment and promise of wrath are just, yet He wishes for none to perish.
