How to Get Ordained in Florida
Embrace the Path of Ministry with the Christian Leaders Institute and Alliance Program
Introduction: Are you ready to embark on a journey of fulfillment and service by becoming an ordained minister in Florida? It’s a deeply rewarding endeavor that allows you to serve your faith community and officiate sacred ceremonies. Whether your heart desires to unite couples in marriage or engage in other ministerial duties, understanding the process of ordination and the resources available to you is crucial.
Embracing Florida’s Ordination Law for Wedding Officiants: In Florida, the process of becoming an ordained minister is governed by state law, which holds great importance when it comes to officiating weddings. According to Florida Statutes Section 741.07, individuals who are ordained or licensed ministers of the gospel, priests, or other ecclesiastical officers are authorized to solemnize marriages. This includes those who have been ordained through reputable online ordination programs. Therefore, you don’t need to register with any government office as a wedding officiant.
The only requirement is to complete the marriage license in the presence of the couple and any required witnesses. Additionally, you’ll have the honor of reading the Declaration of Intent to the couple, ensuring their voluntary entrance into the sacred bond of marriage. Finally, within a specified timeframe, typically 10 days after the ceremony, the completed marriage license should be returned to the county clerk’s office.

Become a Wedding Officiant in Florida – A Testimony
My name is Christina Dianè Vissanti, and I have a diverse background as a EuroAfrican Latina. I was born and raised in Spanish Harlem, New York City, and the Bronx. Currently, I split my time between Sunny South Florida and various cities along the Northern East Coast throughout the year.
In my search for an Officiate Licensing organization, it was essential to align with one rooted in biblical principles. In my opinion, Christian Leaders Alliance, Institute, and College are top-tier organizations. It is an honor for me to receive my Wedding Officiant license through Christian Leaders Alliance. Having attended many weddings where the focus seemed to be mostly on the reception, I have come to realize the importance of Kingdom Marriage, understanding biblical principles and the context surrounding God’s purpose in covenant, partnership, and marriage. Through my own faith journey, healing, growth, and attained wisdom over the past 10+ years, I now have a higher perspective, love, and reverence for Kingdom Marriage as a whole.
As I continue my education with Christian Leadership Institute, I am inspired to empower the Christian couples I marry. I aim to help them see and understand the sacredness of the Wedding Ceremony and the wonderful opportunity to co-create a ceremony script that captures God’s presence in the details of their love story. Being a self-published Christian author, I appreciate the power of testimonial storytelling, and as a believer in Christ and a Transformational Life Coach, I understand the impact of our words. As a Christian Wedding Officiant, my goal is to facilitate a ceremony that allows guests to witness how God’s love is intricately woven into the union of marriage and the unique love story of the bride and groom.
In a world filled with distractions, it is easy to miss God in our day-to-day lives. However, I look forward to empowering the couple to infuse their wedding with Jesus’ presence in every ceremony I conduct. My aim is to inspire their friends and family, whether believers or not, by showcasing the beauty of God’s love within the ceremony. My Wedding Officiant License, paired with my Pre-Marital Counseling Facilitator certification, is just the beginning of what I trust God is preparing me for. I will continue to pursue my studies to become an Ordained Minister, equipping me with additional skills to support the Kingdom both online and in-person, with a special focus on Teen Ladies, Women, Singles, and Marriage Ministries.
Thanks to the generosity-driven concept at Christian Leaders Institute, I can pursue much more than just my Wedding Officiant License. The high-quality training and degree courses offered at a low financial investment are a tremendous blessing. This funding model allows me to further develop my skills in the areas I am anointed and called to. I am incredibly grateful, and as a Vision Partner, I know that the seeds I sow are planted in fertile ground, providing others with the same opportunities. Education and training are essential in every Ministry, whether it be voluntary or a career, as they enable us to walk confidently and equip us to make a lasting impact for eternity. As Romans 12:3-13 reminds us, every piece of the puzzle matters. With our different gifts, we create a powerful sphere of influence, allowing others to experience the transformative love of God, the gospel of Jesus, and the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
