Christian Classes Free

My name is Lacey Nevin, and the Christian classes free at Christian Leaders Institute are a blessing. I am 26 years old. I am originally from New York but live in Florida and Colorado with my husband and daughter. Being a Christian leader in my community isn’t always easy, but its rarely verbally confronted. The world we live in now makes it incredibly hard to spread what is true as it definitely doesn’t please everyone and their ways of life.

My parents divorced when I was seven years old. The divorce didn’t appear to be a big deal to me at the time. However, now that I have grown up and look back on the experience, my parents did a very good job of “hiding” the stresses it caused our family. When my parents were together, they were Jehovah’s Witnesses. They had my sister as teens and me in their early 20s. When their marriage started having trouble, the kingdom hall disfellowshipped my parents. That’s when I think I started to have a negative image of religion and “godly” people.

My Journey to God and My Spiritual Dream

While I was in college, I had a strong belief that God wasn’t even real. One of my good friends that I respect invited me to a church service while I was visiting Atlanta. The entire message was on the science of the Bible. He spoke about the actual facts that made me really think that the Bible could actually be real. He said just enough to get me to rethink my thinking. I started to say to myself, “If this could be real, wouldn’t it be smart to at least do everything in my power to figure it out?” I haven’t turned back since.

My spiritual dream is to be a wealth of knowledge so when I run into someone who feels the same way I did about God and the Bible, I can give them the right information to allow them to go home and think about it. Also, I hope that when people meet me and ask, “Why is she so happy?” they can know that that can only come from the love and grace of Jesus Christ.

Growing up, emotions were not a thing that our family knew much about. No one cried, no one really hugged. We just knew we loved each other, even though we rarely said it. Our family was close, just not emotional or open to each other about our struggles and our weaknesses. This caused me to be strong, capable, and unwilling to ask or need help from anyone. Not needing help from anyone made life very hard and made believing in our ultimate Helper extremely difficult.

Drawn to Know God and His Reckless Love for Me

My inability to find true comfort and happiness in things and activities is what caused me to find Christ. No matter what I accomplished or what material possession I collected, there was always a void in my life. It was something that I couldn’t put my finger on and caused me to want and need something more and different.

Then, God became real to me once I found out that I was pregnant with my daughter. I was 23 years old, engaged to my husband, and coming to a point where the world began to make its impression on me. I feel that my daughter helped save me. The connections and decisions I found myself beginning to make would have caused my life to go down a path of regret. Ego was my biggest issue. There is nothing like carrying a child and delivering a baby that will give you a full dose of humble.

Knowing that God is real and recklessly loves me (Cory Asbury’s song comes to mind), I began to study Jesus, speak to Jesus, and surround myself with Jesus. Once I felt that comfort and happiness I had never found anywhere else, I knew that I was never going back. “No shadow You won’t light up, Mountain You won’t climb up, Coming after me.” (Cory Asbury)

Christian Classes Free at CLI

I first began with wanting to learn more about Jesus and the Bible so that when put in a position to defend my beliefs, I could. After taking the Christian classes free at CLI, I now see it as wanting to learn and grow with Christ and use all of this valuable information to help my family grow in their faith as well. I can only imagine what it would have been like to have someone I looked up to growing up believing and teaching me about the love and grace that comes from Jesus. Therefore, that’s what I want for my children.

Currently, I am a business owner, a stay at home mom, and a wife. My growth in my faith with Jesus has become my quiet time to get away from the busyness of life and to accomplish some of my goals. I am currently a volunteer in my church community and hope to play a bigger role with them one day soon. These Christian classes free at Christian Leaders Institute are just what I need to strengthen my knowledge and understanding of God and His plan for my life. I would love for God to use me in any way he sees fit to bring more people to Him.

Ministry Study Course

Free Ministry Study Course

My name is Michael Olaoluwa Makanjuola, and I am inspired by the ministry study course at CLI. I am married to Ibisola Hannah. We live in Ibadan City, the capital of Oyo State, Nigeria, West Africa. My father and mother are both workers in the vineyard of God. I was born in the church and was brought up to serve the Lord. However, I made my decision to serve the Lord in my teens. Some storms of life took me off that track for a few years. But our faithful God sought me out and restored me to him.

Being a Christian Leader

Being a Christian leader, honestly, has been an enjoyable experience. At one point, I thought that nothing good was coming from me. However, God had other plans. I became the lead evangelist in one of the Anglican parishes here in Nigeria. This journey opened my eyes, mind, and senses to the fact that God had work for me to do. Since that time, my walk with Him has become more and more excellent.

Previously, I served as a Choir Coordinator in the Household of Faith International for five years. Then I ministered with Spring of Grace Ministries and Divine Truth Global Mission as a Worship Leader and an Associate Pastor for six years plus. Presently, I am the Lead Pastor at St. James Anglican Church.

Journey to Ministry

I got to know Jesus at a very tender age as I was born into Christianity. Yet, I didn’t confess Him as my Lord and Saviour until 1989. I rededicated my life to Him a few years later. Since then, I cherish my every day with Him. My spiritual dream is Philippians 3: 10: “That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death.” My spiritual dream is that I may know Him more.

The event that humbled me was the death of my two daughters and the desertion of my wife years back. It was a terrible experience for me. However, in this situation, God showed up. He made Himself very real to me, and today, He is still keeping His promises to me.

Free Ministry Study Course at CLI

I am trusting God that at the end of my training at Christian Leaders Institute, God will help and enable me to take the gospel to all the corners of this world. I hope to be better in communicating the word of God. This free ministry study course is for my spiritual benefit and also to strengthen my relationship with the Lord. I intend to convert my studies to a collegiate degree.

Every one of the messages of Rev. Henry Reyenga, the President of CLI, blessed me. I am motivated and ready to face any test that comes my way so I can be competent and confident as a minister of the gospel.

Ministry Study Journey

My Ministry Study Journey

My name is Jamie Welch, and I am on a ministry study journey at Christian Leaders Institute. I was born in Washington, D.C. and now live in King George, Virginia. Currently, I work in a doctor’s office as a Registered Nurse that specializes in women and pediatric care. I have been married to my husband for five years, and we have three beautiful children together. Additionally, I am passionate about holistic health care and am a wellness advocate for Doterra essential oils.

Early Life

My church life was sporadic in childhood. My earliest memory of church was pleasant at about 3-4 years of age going to “play” in the childcare of a church. In middle school, my parents and I attended a nondenominational church where I chose to be baptized at the age of 13. Some of my earliest memories of learning about God were through my grandmother. There was something distinct she told me about God not watching over children after the age of 12 unless they were baptized. I have heard nothing similar since then but nonetheless, I felt like I wanted to do it. At the age of 16, I worked in a Sunday School at a church. It was a paid position and it paid well for the age I was. I enjoyed working with children. It was mostly younger children – infants through about three years old.

I moved to Los Angeles California when I was 18 years old to pursue an acting career. I ended up with a few small roles in shows like General Hospital and How I Met Your Mother, but nothing substantial. Four years later, I came to a crossroads. My husband and I fell in love. However, he was moving across the country a few months after we started dating. At this point, I was the closest I had ever been to a leading role in a pilot series. I went through many auditions, callbacks, chemistry testings, and network testings. I asked God to help me decide if I was going to stay in California or move to Virginia to be with my love. Ultimately, the pilot canceled, and I moved to Virginia.

New Beginnings

Our relationship had its share of good times and bad. It was complicated by him having a five-year-old son that he had full custody of. Five months after I moved back, we got engaged and married seven months after that. We attended New Life Church where my husband’s family attended for years. We took a marriage class through the church called Love & Respect. Additionally, at this time, I volunteered in the infant room during Sunday services. We stayed there for many years. After we had our first daughter who is now three, the dynamic of the church changed which led me away from it.

I finally found my new church home, Lifepoint Church. We are a small location meeting out of a high school that is a part of a larger network church. In January, I decided to recommit my life to Jesus, a person I have always known but drifted from for some time. I immersed myself in the teachings of our Pastor, began unpacking the Bible page by page and joined a small group. This small group included me and five other women that met for about three months. We went through a process called Freedom and attended a weekend conference at its conclusion. During those weeks, chains broke and weights lifted. Praying with people became the norm for me.

Throughout that process and especially after, things in my household really began to shift. A marriage and a household that I was pretty hopeless about did a complete turnaround. Our middle child was very sick for months and months contributing to a large portion of our marital stress, but things were getting better. However, the best part was my husband praying with me about our daughter; it was a pivotal moment for us. Putting God back at the center of our marriage is the difference this time. There are light and peace in our home that was missing for many years.

Ministry and Ministry Study Journey

My ministry study journey is really just beginning. Although I volunteered or worked within churches for almost half of my life, I never had the confidence and knowledge that I could minister to others. During the freedom conference, I felt God speaking to me during two of my prayers with the women. One woman said that I had to let go of some pride and when those walls fell that there were opportunities for me to lead and minister. Another woman told me I had my Father’s eyes and could see His peace within me. I knew that I wanted to do more. I began asking God to show me how I could serve.

One afternoon, I was with a good friend of mine who is younger and looks to me for advice. We were talking about her upcoming nuptials. She had some issues with the person who was to marry her and her fiance. Before she even asked, I knew I wanted to do it. Later on that afternoon, she asked if I would officiate the ceremony, and I immediately accepted.

Other opportunities would come up within the same time frame. Past friendships of strong Christian faith began to resurface and help keep me in the right direction. Opportunities to pray for people and speak openly about Jesus presented themselves within my workplace.

Ministry Study Journey to CLI

I am excited about the opportunities that continue to come up. As with anything I do in my life, I want to make sure I am fully prepared. That is why I signed up for some ministry training through this free study program at Christian Leaders Institute. These classes are just what I need for my ministry study journey.
