Called To Relationship With God
My name is David Nnacheta. I am born and raised in Owerri, a small city in the South Eastern region of Nigeria. Growing up, I was what you might refer to as a “church boy.” My family was deeply religious. My father was an elder, and my mother a deaconess in our local church. I was a poster boy for both parents and teachers alike. Well behaved and disciplined, I participated diligently in church activities. My parents made sure we were grounded and rooted in God. Although what I cultivated was religion, not a relationship with God, I continued to long for better understanding and reasons for my belief.
I gave my life to Christ at the age of 14. After just graduating from junior secondary, I was at a church program. While a lady was narrating her out-of-body experience, the thought of where I would be if I died overwhelmed me. I prayed the sinner’s prayer (I had prayed that prayer multiple times before), and this time it was real. The joy of knowing that I was now a born-again Christian was unbelievable.
Call to Relationship with God and Ministry Training
About a decade later, I still struggled in my walk with God. I hardly prayed or studied my Bible. It was difficult sticking to a career because I wasn’t quite sure what I wanted to do to have a fulfilled life. In July of 2018, I came to the end of myself. I prayed a prayer that I never considered praying before. I asked God to please show me what to do with my life. God put on my heart the burden to introduce a relationship with God to people.
My desire to give myself to studying God’s word led me to Christian Leaders Institute. Getting proper and adequate training is vital to my success as a minister for God. I cherish this opportunity for free ministry training at CLI. Thank God, I found the Christian Leaders Institute, for I know I will now be well equipped to serve in my Father’s kingdom.

Ministry Call Discovery
My name is Maggie Schmeiser, and here is my ministry call discovery journey. I currently live in a small agriculture-based town in Northwest Kansas in the United States. Here the land is flat, and the wind always blows. I joined the Christian Leaders Institute to gain more knowledge about the Bible and to help others understand it as well. I am not sure exactly what God wants me to do in the long term, but I do know that I am called to be in ministry.
My Background
I grew up in a Christian home. My dad was a Pastor/Missionary since before I was born. I came to know Christ personally in my middle school years. After some missions trip to Mexico, I began to understand God’s love for me. So, I got baptized in the 7th grade and committed my life to read the Bible and learn more.
During college, I struggled with finding a church community to call home. I stopped attending weekly services and hardly read my Bible. Instead, I went out with my friends on the weekends and just went through the day to day motions of going to class, to work, and to sleep. Thankfully, I never made any decisions that I would much regret for the rest of my life. However, I am sad about the selfish choices I made.
I came back to God toward the end of my college career and before getting into my work career. With all of the changes in my life, I needed God to help me through it all and make the right decisions. Since then, I married and made a couple of changes in my career. Currently, I work at my church as the Secretary. This job has helped me meet more people and make those deep connections I was looking for in my college years. God has worked in my life.
My Desire to Learn More at Christian Leaders Institute
I came to Christian Leaders Institute to learn more about the Bible. To expand on that, I want to be able to show people where in the Bible to find comfort and healing. The idea of Christian Counseling – especially marriage counseling – also draws me. I believe that marriage is a beautiful God idea that should be cherished, and I want people to find happiness with their spouse. Emphasis is on the word with there.
I hope to find clarity on my ministry call discovery journey after taking a few more classes at CLI. I currently work in my church’s youth group. That work has opened my heart to want to help these kids in whatever way God leads me. CLI can also help me with that.
I am so thankful for this free training. Hopefully, God will give me a clear direction as to what degree to pursue. Then, I can continue my education. Thank you, Christian Leaders Institute, for this opportunity.

Ministry Training Education Journey to CLI
Hello, my name is Peter Deneke, and here is my ministry training education journey to CLI. And I am from Johannesburg, South Africa. I am single at the moment, but I would like to meet a godly woman. I came from an alcoholic family background, which led to lots of rejection and abuse. As a result, I became timid and fearful. I had some Sunday school influence and Catholic influence from my mom. I did get saved as a teenager but still had a struggle with sin.
My Journey in Ministry Education
In 1993, I got called up to the army. I was terrified to go and landed up for one week in the psych ward with anxiety and depression. I later met a Christian who invited me to his church in Pretoria called Hatfield Christian Church. The Holy Spirit powerfully touched me there. I also received baptism there.
The next year, I returned home and went to a Pentecostal Church related to the Hatfield Church. From 1997-1998, we had revival, and I was powerfully touched. I wanted God to burn out the rubbish and empower me. I joined a cell group and feeding the homeless ministry. There on the street, I heard God’s voice and felt his anointing. I felt a pull to do Bible studies with Rhema Bible School. That’s where I learned the purpose of renewing the mind. I had some ups and downs in my Christian walk. God allowed disappointment and setbacks to teach me things and uproot some wrong teaching.
Schooling in the USA
In 2008, I had a desire for some prophetic training, and God opened the doors for me to go to Christian International in Florida. This school is where God started to deal with the wounded parts of me. I went for six months of counseling with the restoring the foundation’s ministers. It was truly life-changing. I realized I had a call to counseling, inner healing, and deliverance ministry. After I gained a master’s in ministry degree, I also did some prison ministry and gained confidence in teaching in front of men.
Return to South Africa and Finding CLI
I returned to South Africa in 2012 and did some teaching at a Christian School. In the next phase of my training, I enrolled in psychological counseling at UNISA. It took me six years to finish my honors degree. I also spent a year teaching in China.
Recently, a friend told me about the Christian Leaders Institute. So, I enrolled since I want an accredited degree. This ministry training education journey to CLI has been eventful. I am excited to see what God has in store with CLI.
