Called to Ministry Service in God’s Kingdom
Hi, my name is Delta Kitch, and I am called to ministry service and training at CLI. Currently, I live in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, in Canada. I work in the public school system as an Educational Assistant, which is a paraprofessional educator. My job involves working with special needs children helping them achieve academic success. It can be in the form of helping them with literacy and numeracy or behavioral and social or medical issues. For this job, I took two years of training and achieved my teacher’s assistant certificate. I also have a vet assistant degree as well as a certificate in continuing education, administrative development, and administration. Furthermore, I have a certificate in an introduction to braille and contracted braille.
My Early Years
I grew up in a small town. On Sundays, I went to church with my Mom and got to attend Bible camp in the summer. The pastor of the sponsoring church gifted my sister and me with that opportunity. We were a lower-middle-class family. My dad was a mechanic, and my mom sewed clothes for other people. We didn’t have much money, but we had food. My childhood was carefree and full of love.
In late summer, I would stay with my grandparents on their farm and pick blueberries with Grandma to sell to the local store. That earned me money to buy new shoes and books for school in the fall. I also saved some of the money to buy my mom and dad Christmas presents.
I am the middle child of five, with two older sisters and a younger brother and sister. Somehow, I never really felt important in the family, sort of like the invisible child. However, I did have one secret friend. That was Jesus! When I was about ten, I asked Jesus into my heart at summer Bible camp. I should have shouted it from the rooftops, but I felt this was something just for me. It was something I didn’t HAVE to share with my brother and sisters, and it was not a hand me down. Jesus was MY friend! It was childish, but after all, I was a child.
My Marriage and My Struggles
As I grew up, Jesus was always there with me. When I got married and had children, He was still there, waiting patiently for me. I felt it was important that my children knew Jesus as I did, so I started taking them to church with me. We went to the small church in the community where the kids attended school. However, I didn’t feel Jesus there. So, I took them to the church I grew up in, but I didn’t sense him there either. Then we went to an aunt’s funeral. As soon as I walked into that church, I knew Jesus was there, and I knew I was home. My children and I became members and attended there.
A few years later, my dad got sick and died of cancer. That devastated me. I thought I handled it all very well. Around that time, my husband also started having Angina attacks. I ran away in fear. Literally! I got a divorce and moved to the U.S.A. Then I married a man who became abusive in every way imaginable. Through this all, I kept my faith in God the Father, Jesus His Son, and the Holy Spirit.
God Never Gives Up
My second husband was jealous of my faith. One night, he held a gun to my head, and something in me snapped! I threw up my arms and knocked the gun out of his hand. The strength came from Jesus, who was beside me. My husband left the house that night, and I packed up my van. The next morning, I got a phone call from a friend. She and her husband were coming through town and wanted to stop in and visit. When I told her what was going on, she decided to drive back to Canada with me. Once again, Jesus protected me. He knew I couldn’t make the trip alone in my emotional state.
I got my life back together and divorced that man. Jesus was with me all the way. Eventually, I met and married my current husband. I thought this was a loving relationship. A few years later, that dream turned sour, and I sank into a horrible place. Being the worst person I could become, I hated myself and turned from God. I contemplated killing myself. I thought that if my children found out about the person I was, they would hate and despise me. So, one day, I turned to God and asked him to end it for me. I prayed and begged God to take me. Graciously, He ended my life of sexual degradation and sin. From there, at the lowest point in my life, Jesus spoke to me, and I began to listen. I read my Bible and prayed. My faith grew once again.
Called to Ministry Service and Discovering CLI
Not long ago, on Social media, my niece posted a video of a very young girl dropping the “f” bomb over a hurt finger. I commented that I didn’t think it was funny to accept this kind of language from a child. It shows how the moral fabric of society has become frayed and tattered. Wow! So many people blasted me for my comment. I was hurt and decided to leave that social media, after all, who needs that kind of verbal abuse for stating their opinion? However, God had different plans for me. That same night in a dream, I heard God say, “No, you will not leave that social media platform. You will use it to spread My word.”
The next day after being called to ministry service, I was on my laptop searching for a recipe, and the Christian Leaders Institute site came up in the search options. So, I decided to check it out. Once more, God brought me to where I need to be. I thank God for not giving up on me even when I gave up on myself.
Each day, I start with: “This is the day the Lord has made! I will rejoice and be glad in it.” Called to ministry service, I am ready for God to use me as He sees fit! Thank You, Jesus!

Free Licensed Wedding Officiant Courses at CLI
Hi, my name is Henry Baron, and I am taking licensed wedding officiant courses for free at the Christian Leaders Institute. I was born in the United States Virgin Islands on the island of ST. Thomas. I moved to South Florida in June of 1996 at the age of 16 and have loved it here ever since.
My Salvation
I was miraculously saved on September 28, 1997, while reading the Bible in my car on my lunch break. My Mom sent me that Bible despite the life I led. The break up of me and my high school sweetheart had left me feeling down. The Lord used this opening to reach me. For three days, the verse, “What shall it profit a man if he should gain the whole world and lose his soul?” kept replaying over and over in my mind.
Then on that last day, the Holy Spirit prompted me to take the Bible to work with me. I prayed and read the Bible on my lunch break for the first time in years. The Lord spoke to me out of Psalm 69, and the words just came alive to me. I rededicated my life to the Lord. Then, I went back in from my lunch break and began sharing Jesus with my co-workers! I couldn’t help it. I felt so light and new!
Struggles that Led to Salvation
I had grown up in the church but never understood a personal relationship with God because everything was religious. We attended a Baptist church for the majority of my childhood. When I was 13, we switched to the Pentecostal denomination. The church was all about the rules, so I lost interest as did my three brothers and sister.
My home was dysfunctional, and I wondered why I was even born. Shortly after that, I told God I did not want anything to do with Him. I became demon-possessed at that point even though I didn’t know it. Filled with hate for God, my life spiraled out of control. I did not set foot in a church for three years.
Delivered From Demon Possession
I was saved that afternoon and had received an invite to church a few days earlier from a friend’s brother. So, I went to church with him that Friday evening and went to the altar for prayer. I was baptized with the Holy Spirit and spoke in tongues. That night at about one o’clock in the morning, I woke up from a disturbing dream. I began to pray. Then, I felt led to read Psalm 91 which I did and began to cry as I sensed the Spirit of the Lord.
At that point, I felt led to waking my sister and brother-in-law, who I lived with, to pray for me at two a.m., and they complied. They prayed for me, and they cast out the demons! The Lord delivered me from demonic possession as it says in the scriptures that the demons came out with a loud voice! I give God thanks and praise!
My Ministry Service
Since then, I shared my testimony in prisons and detention centers around the state of Florida. I preached in nursing homes, churches, and shared at youth groups and prayer meetings. In 2008, I moved back to ST. Thomas at the leading of the Lord for ministry. I received ordination and started a ministry on the island called Positive Image Ministries. I preached in local churches, prisons, the hospital, as well as in our church service and meetings. We saw people saved, healed, and delivered. It was amazing!
In 2011, the Lord called me to move back to the United States. We settled in Atlanta, where I joined the National Guard at the leading of the Lord. I graduated Basic Training and Advanced Individual Training in November of 2012 as a Military Police soldier in the United States Army. I served for six years and got out in 2018. During that time, I earned two degrees. I received an Associate of Business Management, followed by a Bachelor of Business Administration from Baker College in Flint, MI, in the summer of 2018.
Taking Free Licensed Wedding Officiant Courses at CLI
Now, I am here at Christian Leaders Institute because a family member asked me to perform their wedding, and I have never done one before. Feeling a little nervous about it, I figured I should get some training. Nursing home ministry and possibly a house church also interest me. Therefore, I am praying about what the Lord would have me do.
My wife found CLI on the internet with its free licensed wedding officiant courses. So, I looked into CLI back in December, and they had good reviews and seemed legit. However, having earned two degrees primarily online, I was not excited about more online classes. The Lord kept prompting me to go back to CLI, and I am glad to be here! Thank you, CLI!

Ordained Licensed Christian Wedding Officiant
What an honor and privilege it is to share my testimony to glorify the name of Jesus! My name is Dawn Scott, and I am becoming a licensed Christian wedding officiant. I live in the United States in Pennsylvania. I didn’t have just one moment, but rather a series of callings placed on my heart throughout my 43 years of life. Growing up in the Baptist church, I loved listening about the gospel at an early age. Life threw me some curveballs, and I got off track. Throughout my teenage years, I steered away from the church and lost my way.
Reconnecting to God
However, I started my journey again after the birth of our son. I can say that having a child awakens your soul profoundly. I wanted a Christian upbringing and a relationship with God for him. Soon after our family attended services regularly, we all were baptized together in June of 1997. That little church in Carnegie renewed my faith and reminded me that I needed to restore my relationship with God. I have worked in so many areas and so many roles.
Using My Gifts to be a Licensed Christian Wedding Officiant
While I don’t have tons of illustrious degrees, I have a robust, genuine love for others. My heart desires to serve with the gifts my Heavenly Father has graciously given me: gifts of faith, administration, and mercy. So, to be ordained through the classes at Christian Leaders Institute gives me the training and guidance I need. Then, I can be a Licensed Christian Wedding Officiant with the Christian Leaders Alliance. Seeing the faces of those standing before the Lord and testifying their love for one another brings me joy.
1 Corinthians 13:13 – And now these three remain: faith, hope, and love, but the greatest of these is love.
That piece of scripture has spoken to me for as long as I can remember. It reminds me that through all of life’s trials and tribulations, the gift of love from our Father is always there!
My husband and I have since found a new church closer to our home. The moment I walked through the red doors, warmth overcame me. The Spirit is so profound in this little church. The congregation is full of love and kindness. It is something that still takes my breath away.
I am looking forward to what else God places upon my heart to help me grow in both faith and fellowship. Thank you, CLI, and God bless!
