Greetings in Christ! I am Scott Weems from the United States of America. God has called me into the ministry to help spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ. So I am getting the needed training to minister at the Christian Leaders Institute. However, I did not always follow God and his calling on my life. I ran from God every chance I had at first. Did you know you can run from God but cannot hide? I knew that, but I continuously tried to run anyway.
My life was a roller coaster with God. It was a cat and mouse game for me, even though I knew God had something planned for me. In my late teens and early twenties, I began to use God for my own personal gain. I filled my life with lies and deceit daily. Sadly, it hurt so many people that were part of my life. I eventually became so angry at God and even denounced Him. I wanted no part of God or what he had planned for my life.
Saved by Grace
But then, in my forties, I surrendered myself back to God, and He came back into my life with power and might. Since then, happiness and joy are filling my life daily like never before. Now, as an adult, I have seen the missed opportunities that God had in store for me. It breaks my heart because of so many years wasted rejecting God. God is good and merciful, and I now have eternal life with Him. I am so thankful for His love for me and the forgiveness he so graciously gives.
Found CLI for Training to Minister
I give God the glory, and I thank him for calling me to minister the Gospel of Jesus Christ. That is why I came to the Christian Leaders Institute. I wanted to get the training to minister. When I found CLI, I knew this would be a good fit!
I will serve the Lord for the rest of my days. Christ is King!

My name is Jane Mutua, and I am at the Christian Leaders Institute online to study Bible classes for free. from Machakos in Kenya. I am the second born in a family of five children. My parents were born again and served God in their church. They introduced Christ to us as young children and prayed with and for us daily.
I got saved while in High School and immediately found mentors in our School Christian Union. While back at home, I served God in the Worship Ministry and the Youth program.
Move to Tanzania
1n 1995, I got married to Mutua, and God blessed us with a son and a daughter. Together we served God in the Worship Ministry of our Church until 2004. That is when we went to Tanzania for a work assignment.
While in Tanzania, my husband and I got involved in Youth Ministry and served under RIOT Ministry. Riot Ministry did youth concerts, school, and campus ministry. We also did pre-marital and marital counseling at the House of Bread Church. While we were there, I was the Women’s Ministry leader and started a “Single Mums Ministry.”
In 2018, we came back to Kenya and settled in Machakos. In 2018, I got an opportunity to serve with the Youth group briefly.
Opportunity to Study Bible Classes for Free at CLI
I got to know about the Christian Leaders Institute from a friend, and I immediately joined. It has been a wonderful walk. I had not done any ministry training before. Studying Bible Classes at CLI is a great opportunity to gain knowledge and be equipped as a minister. The Connections class has truly changed my life.
