Serve in Youth Ministry

Hello, I am excited to serve in Youth Ministry and study at the Christian Leaders Institute (Learn more about online Bible classes, Click Here). I reside in the USA’s Northern Virginia area with my husband of 12 years and our 2 amazing boys. Currently, I serve as a volunteer Youth Pastor at our church and enjoy every aspect of it!

My Youth

I had a rough upbringing. However, even at an early age, I saw God’s divine hand protecting me. Therefore, now I am serving him in my purpose. I came to know Christ early and grew up in a Christian home, although that home had its dysfunctions. In my early teens, I came to accept Christ, served in my local church, etc. However, it wasn’t until I took my first mission trip to Central America that I truly fell in love with my Savior. I experienced a personal encounter with the Father and that shifted my heart to desire to serve Him.

After continuing to serve in the church throughout my teen years, I married my husband who I met in my youth group. We began serving as leaders of the Volunteers and Ushers and learned so much throughout this time.

New Ministry Direction

As the years went on, I began to feel that God wanted me to serve in a different aspect. Well, that feeling was confirmed when almost a year ago, our Pastor approached my husband and me to ask if we would become the Youth Pastors. At this time, there was no youth ministry at our church.

Starting from scratch, we took this new role and have always seen God’s hand at work. We have become the “Cool Peeps” in church per the teens, and we love it and enjoy the blessings that come with it.

From Nerf Gun Battles, Lock-Ins, Pool Parties to seeing teens give their lives to Christ, baptized, and then serving within our church. There are so many memories that I have shared with my teens, and I feel so blessed to have been given this opportunity. The love they give is so real even when we adults don’t give them enough credit.

In this journey, I have found myself with a renewed passion for our youth. I began working with our local middle and high schools this year. I want to implement restorative justice practices and find ways to bridge the inequalities among the youth of certain races or income faces.

Called to Serve in Youth Ministry

Not having any formal training in Restorative Justice or Youth Ministry, I sometimes feel incapable. This need brought me to the Christian Leaders Institute. The vast directory of programs, certifications, and degrees offered is astonishing! Being a Volunteer Youth Pastor of a small church, at times, means I am paying out of pocket for supplies, events, etc. for my youth. Having an institution like CLI provide quality content for no or minimal fee is a blessing. I hope to receive formal training here at CLI to serve the lives better I encounter inside and outside the church building. Being able to have the tools and knowledge to teach, mentor, guide, and inspire the younger generation is my heart’s purpose on this Earth.

I love my husband, my kids, and my family. But most of all, I love God. My life changed the day I realized how much God loved me! Now, I try to live my life by responding in love to Him the best way I know. I enjoy the journey, and I’m getting to do it with a great bunch of students and families. Therefore, I look forward to continuing my journey at CLI and seeing the harvest come to fruition!

Training in Christianity

Hello, my name is Babatunde David Adeyemi, and I am receiving training in Christianity and ministry at the Christian Leaders Institute (Learn more about online Bible classes, Click Here). I grew up in Nigeria in a town named Egbe, fondly called the Jerusalem of Nigeria. I’m married to a beautiful and amiable woman, Esther, and we both live in Egbe.

I grew up in a Christian home and a religious community without the knowledge of Christ. I participated in all church activities as a routine and for the fun of it. In 2004, I was about to round up my Secondary School education. I met with an evangelist one day on the way to my grandma’s house. The evangelist led me to Christ.

Youthful Struggles and Training in Christianity

I gained admission into a higher institution of learning two years after my Secondary School education. Therefore, I had two years at home that I spent learning a vocation. I also invariably spent time learning about the Christ I received. Christian life became real to me. However, there came the temptation to be in control of my life and spiritual dream as I got to a higher institution of learning. I still loved the Lord, but I wanted control. I had a lofty ambition that gave no room for God’s will.

However, I went to a conference in Kwara State, Nigeria, in 2011. There I met with the LORD again and rededicated my life to Him. It was a turning point in my life. The Lord was able to communicate His will afresh to me. Then I knew the Lord wanted me to serve Him in full-time Christian service.

My Marriage and Ministry

The mission began when I got married as led by God’s Spirit. Moreover, I had no formal training in Christian leadership and ministry. So, it was a challenge for me to access the religious community I sought to impact and serve with. Furthermore, I had no other vocation to pay for a theological seminary education. However, thankfully, my wife’s job affords us the privilege of daily upkeep.

Training in Christianity at CLI: A Dream Come True

In seeking free-tuition schools on the internet, I found the Christian Leaders Institute. CLI is such a blessing to me and my ministry with its training in Christianity and ministry. The tuition-free program will afford me the opportunity to be trained, ordained, and certified for ministry and leadership.

Bible Schooling

My name is Helen Chibuzor Ofomah from Nigeria, and I am receiving Bible schooling free online at the Christian Leaders Institute (Learn more about online Bible classes, Click Here). I was born into a family of five. My father was an engineer, and my mother was a secretary. My parents were Catholics. However, my mother was converted through a friend of hers at a Pentecostal Ministry. There, she became born again and led us through our walk with God. My mother started training us in morning devotion, Bible reading, Christian Life, and Holiness. She also made sure we attended church regularly.

I attended St Jude’s Nursery and Primary School, where I had my First School Leaving Certificate in Lagos, then I attended Marist Comprehensive Academy for my JSS1 to SS1. When my father transferred to Portharcourt, I attended Niger Grammar School. There, I completed my Secondary Education. Then I went to the Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, where I studied Environmental Management and Forestry.

In 2006, I came to Germany. I had my DEUTSCHE CERTIFICATE BI and also underwent a training program under European social funds for “Pflege und Soziales.”

My Encounter with Christ and Calling

I first encountered the Lord as a teenager. During one of the retreats I attended, our District Youth Pastor preached about hell. It was as if the message was for me personally. I didn’t want that identity of a sinner. I was a regular churchgoer to please my mother. When I saw other Youths serving God, I also wanted to be like them. An altar call was made. I went to receive the Lord, who changed me from my old ways. I attended the Discipleship class for new converts. After a mentor watching for some time, I could sing in the Choir and join the workers in their meetings.

One day, my mother called me from Nigeria. She had seen a vision that I had a calling to serve God. In one of my visits to Nigeria, I attended a church, and the Pastor told me that I had a calling to serve God. Then, I remembered my dreams of seeing myself ministering to a large crowd and preaching inside a train.

Free Bible Schooling Online at CLI

Therefore, I looked for a Bible school where I could be trained and equipped online. Then, I came across the Christian Leaders Institute. I am happy and grateful because I can’t afford to pay for Bible schooling. Christian Leaders Institute is one of the best things that happened to me this year. Since I started studying, I have a deeper revelation of the Word and am being equipped to be effective in the Ministry.
