Before I heard the Word of God and became a believer, I wanted to be a monk thinking that I could save them.
Introduced to God
Once, one of my friends invited me to go to church. At the time, I was focused on my friend, not on worshipping God. However, when I was at the church, my friend’s family and I got into a friendship. Then, they asked me to go worship with them every week. Then I started wanting to know who God is and whether he is a true God or not. So, I started going to church every week and heard the Word of God. However, I did not understand it all. So, I decided not to believe in God if I couldn’t understand His Word.
Yet, when I was at church, people talked about God’s love, God’s grace, and the way Jesus sacrificed for us. That’s why, even though I did not understand God’s Word, I felt that Jesus loved me. Then I heard God say, ”Taste me.” Then I started tasting God as I prayed and praised the Lord. I began a relationship with God, and then I understood more about God’s love and who God is. After that, there was a choice in my heart that spoke to me. I would rather choose the one who loves me unconditionally and gives me salvation than worship humans who try to become gods. After I decided this, I also had to go through some trials. I faced the temptation of my family, and Satan used my heart’s desire to stop me from walking closer to God.
Saved and Called to Witness
God’s grace and mercy save me! I thank God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit so much! After I became a Christian, I felt like my life was heavier than before. In the past, I did not like Christians because they usually visited non-believers and shared the Word of God. And so, I misunderstood, thinking that they tempted people to become Christian. However, now I realize that you won’t like to do missions if you do not really love God and your neighbor. But, if you really love God and your neighbor, you will love to do missions and want your neighbor to have Jesus as their Savior like you.
God’s Word always reminds me of my life. As I am a child of God, it doesn’t matter if I am rich or famous or poor. The matter is I need to be the best tool for God. The most important work to do in life is God’s work! The best of my life is working for God’s glory.
Finding CLI for Bible Courses Online
I am young and still learning the word of God. So I knew I needed Bible training to grow in my faith and walk with God. So, I searched and found the Christian Leaders Institute with Bible courses online. I don’t know what will happen in my life and my future. But I offer my life to God, and I believe God will use me more and more.

When I was a little girl, I always wanted to serve the Lord. Since I was Catholic being a nun entered my mind. Because the world has a lot to offer, my attention easily moved to the other side. I married at the age of 19. My husband was 27. At first, it was all lovely. However, when we started having children, things started changing as responsibilities piled up. My husband started gambling, scraping off what we have. But we stuck together because I knew he needed family the most.
Challenges
After some time, my husband, bored with life, drank, partied, and took drugs. He never had time for me, and my life was getting lonely. I felt how unfair life was as I know I have done my best, and I treat him as a king. Instead of focusing on the hurt, I served in the church and taught in Bible studies, but he continuously put me down, and our relationship worsened. We started hurting each other physically. I turned to Jesus and read book after book. Jesus called me to be God’s child. So, I became a believer.
My situation did not get any better, but a tragic thing happened. I discovered my husband had 6 mistresses. He started hurting me physically, and I suffered emotionally. They had vulgar videos. Experiencing all his lies and battery, I decided to leave him. No matter how much He asked for forgiveness, I didn’t have the heart to want him back in our life. It was too much pain for me.
I only saw myself and my hurts until we were invited into a Christian community. They helped us move together as a family. That was another thing that was too hard for me. I had to see my husband every day. Even if I forgave him, all I saw was the pain he caused me for so many years. I cried to the Lord every day so that I could make it through. I took so many courses on forgiveness and asked God, again and again, to take away the hate in my heart.
Christian Growth Through Study at CLI
Then I found the Christian Leaders Institute for Christian growth in forgiveness. After taking the course, Restoring Relationships: Transforming Justice, I started to trust in Jesus totally and not in my own emotions. As Isaiah 26:3-4 says, “You keep Him in peace whose mind is stayed on you, because He trusts in You, TRUST IN the LORD FOREVER for the Lord is an everlasting Rock.”
I have placed in my heart the thought that Jesus bore both the offenders and victims sin in Him even though He had done NO wrong. Accepting and serving my offender, who is my husband, became easier because Jesus is worth it. I saw the fact that no matter how bad I feel, I am a sinner too. I have done countless sins, and Jesus forgave me. As a child of God, I am an ambassador of that kind of love. Jesus’ love surpasses all understanding.
Now we live together with our children as disciples in ministry. “We walk our talk,” for we have killed the lust of our flesh, and Christ is alive in us. Praise the Lord!

I was born on the 9th of December 1993 in Cameroon, a country located in central Africa. My parents separated when I was only nine, but that is when my encounter with the Lord really began. I was born into a family of three children, two sisters and myself. Things became tough and uncertain for me since I had no stable home. I had to be taken from home to home and couldn’t spend time with my parents as many children my age did.
My Salvation
However, my parent’s separation is how everything started for me with the Lord. At the age of 9, I was sent to my uncle’s house. He was a pastor and, before his conversion, he had been healed from an incurable disease. That really kindled my curiosity. During a prayer meeting and fasting program in my uncle’s church led by an assistant pastor, two incidences occurred. The first incident happened during the night program of prayer and fasting. The rain started falling on the whole congregation even though there was a ceiling covering the whole place. I could not understand what was going on. But today, I understand that God was revealing Himself to us in that spectacular way.
The second incidence was my baptism in the Holy Spirit in that very same period. One evening while roaming around the house, I felt something falling on me like fire. Then it started speaking in an unknown tongue. But several years later, I drifted from the faith and started living a wayward life very far from the Lord. I was full of anger and rage against everyone and my parents, in particular. I hated myself and really wanted to end my life by living recklessly. Nevertheless, I heard a small voice trying to convince me to abandon the life I lived. However, I needed the strength and encouragement to do it.
CLI: God Answered My Prayers With A Timely Training Platform
My hunger for God kept growing, and I came back home and started to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ. Then, I married my beautiful wife with two beautiful daughters.
I discovered the Christian Leaders Institute while browsing the internet. I was looking for a Christian school for ministers to get better training. But, alas, it had been to no avail because the ones I wanted were really unaffordable for me.
Then, a CLI announcement appeared on my phone like an advertisement. I found the best thing that could ever happen to me. It is a tuition-free training program for ministers. I started with the classes, which I will keep following because of the high-quality training offered. To God be all the glory. You can not imagine how you are changing my entire life. God bless CLI!
