Ministry Service Education at CLI

Ministry Service Education

Blessings all! My name is April Pou, originally from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, USA. I’m a southern girl with a love of food and the outdoors. Somehow, I ended up in Sioux City, Iowa. I also ended up at the Christian Leaders Institute for my ministry service education (Learn more about online Bible courses, Click Here).

My Beginnings

Raised Jehovah’s Witness, I received the love of studying the Bible from that denomination. Eventually, I strayed because the doctrine didn’t feel right when I was in my late teens. I stumbled about in the darkness and ended up in prison. God came to me. He had never moved or changed, I had. And… He still came to me, even there, in prison. I got saved and began my backsliding, prodigal journey.

Ministry Service Education at CLI

Now, I need this ministry service education training at CLI to be prepared to answer my call of service to God’s people. I have basically read the entire Bible, and my thirst and zest are to know more. My call is to educate, empower, and expose people to God. Therefore, I need to be adequately prepared.

I achieved an Associate’s degree and am just shy of a Bachelor’s in business. However, the time spent wandering in my youth lead me in and out of college. I racked up student loans. Therefore the free ministry training offered here at Christian Leaders Institute is my only option to pursue a ministry education. A scholarship to the CLI’s Leadership Excellence School would be wonderful as it would help me become the leader I am called to be. Unfortunately, I am not in a financial situation to afford college tuition. The daily expenses of my family are often barely and supernaturally met. But, I know I am called to do great works for God. I can’t do that without a foundation and an education.

My dream as a Christian leader is to SERVE. I want to minister to the poor and form a church of forward-thinking, active millennials who want to be the living sacrifices Christianity needs today. With the call and the desire, all I need is an education in the Word. With some formal education, I am a decent speaker and a strong writer. I can deliver the message but I need CLI to help me develop as a Christian leader with biblical knowledge and wisdom.

Mission Ministry Education at CLI

Hi, I am a student of LAMP, an organization in Sri Lanka for education, including Christian studies. I was fortunate to enroll in Christian Leaders Institute (CLI) mission ministry education (Learn more about online Bible courses, Click Here) through LAMP.  I thank God for the opportunity.

Born to devoted Christian parents, I grew up in a Christian home. But in my life, I went through many challenges from experiencing deaths, sicknesses, and financial difficulties. So, in my youth life, I completely walked away from the path of Salvation. But, praise God, He was so loving and merciful to accept me back into His family in 2010.

What God Expects From Me

Since then, God is calling me to help the needy and suffering (Matthew 25:35-36). Therefore, I am to build myself up as a good steward for His kingdom (Genesis 2:15) with a mission ministry education at Christian Leaders Institute. God has entrusted me to be a steward of a social entrepreneurial mission. I am to share His love with society and the marketplace. This mission is called SALT – Social Alliance for Love and Trust.

I thank my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, for His blessings. I also thank my parents, family, mentors, and everyone who had been helping me to grow in spirit and character. As a result, today, I live free in every area of my life (Proverbs 22:4). I have three adorable children: Rovein, Ruvin, Shahendri, and an awesome wife named Roshelle who sacrificially supports me.

I pray that those who read this note, the staff and students of CLI and LAMP, will grow in God’s grace. Even to go further and share God’s Love with every single person.

Online Bachelor’s Degree at CLI

I am Evangeline Lydia. I am studying at the Christian Leaders Institute to prepare for my call to Bible translation (Learn more about online Bible courses, Click Here). Further, I plan to get my online Bachelor’s degree at CLI’s Leadership Excellence School.

My Early Life

My birth was in the year 2002 in the city of Coimbatore, India, to Godly parents. I completed my 12th grade in the year 2020. I have a sibling who is younger than me. From an early age, my parents taught me the ways of God. I accepted Jesus as my Savior and Head at a very early age by asking Jesus into my life. As my parents were in ministry from childhood, I went to Sunday School and attended all the prayer gatherings in our churches. In the year 2012, by the grace of God, we migrated from Tamil Nadu to Orissa. God helped me to learn the language of that state, Oriya, within three months.

Total Surrender

Even though I was a daughter of a very Godly minister of God, I had some sins in my life that I did not come away from. On the 6th January 2014, when I was in 6th grade, we went to a convention to help them work there. We also attended prayer, where I confessed all my sins and asked God and my parents for forgiveness. Afterward, I had a different type of Joy that I cannot express in words. That was the night I gave my life fully to the Lord Jesus.

From that time, I felt a call for God’s work in many of the passages that I read and the messages at the church. So acts 1:8 came as a promise verse to me in the year 2015. It is a habit in our church to take a promise verse for that particular year. And I was praying to God to take me to the ministry where He wanted me.

My Calling and Study at CLI/CLI

In 2017, my family again migrated from Orissa to Tamil Nadu. In 2018, there was a prayer request for translators of the Bible in one of the prayers. I felt God calling me to that ministry, and I prayed to God and told my parents about the burden on my heart.

I wanted to study for a Master of Arts in Bible Translation. However, a Bachelor’s degree was needed first, which would take three years to complete if I went to seminary. However, when we were checking online, we found the Christian Leaders Institute for tuition-free Bible courses. Further, the CLI’s Leadership Excellence School offers a low-cost online Bachelor’s degree. This made me happy. I also praised God for His grace and am pursuing a divinity degree.

Would you please pray for me that the desire God has put in my heart to reach the unreached and give them a Bible in their mother tongue will be fulfilled? Also, please pray for God’s name to be glorified through me in all the places I go and in all the things I do in the future. So, may the name of Jesus Christ be exalted High!
