Growing up, I always knew who God was. My parents took me to my small town Southern Baptist church every Sunday morning, Sunday night, and Wednesday night. I was blessed to have parents and grandparents who loved me and trained me in the way of Christ. However, I did not realize as a child that I was just walking the walk my parents showed me. There was never a time in my life growing up that I remember truly having the relationship with God that I have now.
My Journey
My new walk began when my 18-year-old daughter started attending a new church in our area. As an adult, I drew as far away from God as possible. When I turned 18 myself, I found a path that would lead me down a very dark road. It led to emotional and physical abuse, drug and alcohol addiction, pain, and separation from the family and friends who loved me for so long.
At 21 years old, I was a single mother. By the power and grace of God, I managed to beat addiction and leave my abusive relationship. Then, I reconnected with my family. They supported me and helped to heal me in the best and only way they knew how. Even though I was much better than I was before, healthier, safer, sturdier, and a devoted mother, I still had not set foot in a church in many years.
God Spoke and My Walk with God Began
Unfortunately, I never took my daughter to church growing up. I was not the same example for her that my parents had been for me. I always told her about God and His love for us and taught her right from wrong. Taught her to believe in Him and to love him. Looking back now, I could never show her a true walk because I had never had one myself.
At 18 years old, my daughter tried a church that was new to our area. It was not the Southern Baptist church I grew up in. The non-denominational and modern worship service excited her. To be supportive of her newfound love for this church, I agreed to go with her one Sunday. It was an answer to a prayer that she had been praying for many months without my knowledge. The moment I stepped foot in those doors, I knew I would never be the same. God spoke to me that day in a way I had never experienced.
Within four months, I joined the church and started joining teams to help within the church. I served God for the first time in my life. At 38 years old, I finally found my purpose. The more I served others and the more I learned and became involved in our church, small groups, and Bible studies, the hungrier I became. I led small groups and joined the prayer team and greeter team. The more I asked God to use me, the more opportunities he presented for me to grow and become closer to Him.
Christian College Education at CLI
I started taking classes at Christian Leaders Institute. The Christian college education fed my hunger to learn more, grow more, and understand more about this new walk and life I have been given. I was saved and baptized at 15 years old. However, for the first time in my life, I understood that there was so much more to that relationship with God that I had been missing for so long. The more I learn and the more I strive to find ways to be a better servant, the more God blesses me. I ask God daily to search me and show me areas where I need to grow. I want the Holy Spirit to fill me.
These classes I have the opportunity to take through CLI have helped me. They helped grow my faith and increase my knowledge and understanding of the Word of God. Therefore, I am better prepared to witness and minister to others in whatever way God decides to use me.
I do not know yet where my journey is taking me. However, I do know one thing for certain. “Father, not my will, but yours be done! Where You lead me I will go, knowing that you will equip me along the way. I am your servant and eager to do your will here on earth. I am your hands and feet and enjoy every day knowing that You are using me to advance the Kingdom! Amen!”

Hi, my name is Ambrina Roshi. Originally from Pakistan, I moved to the UK in 2009. Married for more than ten years, God has blessed us with two amazing sons. My Spiritual Journey
My grandfather used to tell us Bible stories as we grew up. I was in my early teens when I gave my heart to Jesus Christ at a convention. It was very emotional, and I prayed that I would do whatever God called me to do. My parents used to forbid me from talking about faith in school due to fear of persecution and discrimination. Growing up in a country where the majority of people were Muslims, even my close friends would ask: “Is the Bible Changed?” and “Did Jesus really die on the cross?”
Even in my darkest times, my love for God never died. From an early age, I believed in a lie that no one loved me. So, I went astray for a time in search of love. God spoke through a Muslim colleague when I started working as a doctor. He challenged me, saying that the “love” I sought was only available through God.
My Career
I graduated as a medical doctor in 2000 and then worked in a Mission Hospital in a rural area in Pakistan. My goal was to achieve my career. However, from a young age, I knew that God had a calling on my life. During my twenties and thirties, my focus was on developing my career. But, there was a secret hurt in my heart that I was not pursuing my calling. I completed my specialization as a psychiatrist in 2018.
Proper Training in Theology at CLI
During the COVID pandemic, I had more time on hand with online patient consultations, saving travel time. I started writing devotionals and posting them on Facebook. I took courses on apologetics. Now, I have created a system of apologetics for women in which I have simplified apologetics concepts. I realized that I need proper training in Theology to be authentic in offering Christian Courses. Then, I found the Christian Leaders Institute to get that training. Be an Effective Follower of Christ
Hello. My name is Alvin Wayne Coulter Sr. Currently living in Dallas, Texas, USA. I am 45 years old. First and foremost, I want to thank God for this opportunity to be a part of Christian Leaders Ministries. It is truly a blessing for me to have found a safe place to learn to be a better servant of the Lord. Christian Leaders Institute has given me a way to get the Bible training needed (Learn more about online free Bible courses, Click Here). Then I can fulfill my call to ministry more effectively without the enormous finical burden of student debt.
My Youth
Growing up in a small country town in Arkansas, God was always present. My father was a Pastor, and my mother was also in ministry. So, I have always known God. Even as a young boy, I had a tug in my heart to know God. I saw many things right before my eyes that were God’s hand at work. Since I knew God from an early age, it was easy for me to see God. God worked miracles in my family’s life and in my life. For example, God healed and delivered me from a fatal illness at birth. At the same time, God healed my mother from a different sickness. That was the first of many times God showed Himself strong and mighty.
I came to know the Lord at the age of six. I found Him as my Savior at the age of nine. As a young child choosing to walk as a child of God was not easy. It came with many challenges and obstacles. I endured some bad situations growing up, such as bullying and name-calling. Throughout my years of schooling, I realized that I needed help. I could always get help from my parents and family, but I needed a different kind of help. I needed God, and I needed Him more in my life. God gave the type of help that would always be with me no matter what came my way.
Finding CLI/CLI for Bible Training Needed
Later in life, I hit a wall when nothing seemed to work anymore. It seemed as if everything went downhill. My way of life began to decline. Then I found myself in a lifestyle that did not please God. I didn’t know what was happening at the time. As the years went by, I fell deeper and deeper into this dark side of life. It took losing nearly everything for things to change. I heard God’s voice call to me, and it looked like a hand reaching down and pulling me up. Then God said, “I called your name. Why did you run?” I responded, “I don’t understand.” God said, “Everything was going well for you and I called your name. You got scared and ran. I had to wait until you got to this place in life to come and call your name again.”
I lost 13 years in running from my calling. But, now it is my dream to see it to the end. God has placed so much in my hands to do. With the help of the free Bible training needed at the Christian Leaders Institute, I can be better prepared for my calling. I plan to complete an Associate’s and/or Bachelor’s Degree at CLI’s Leadership Excellence School. Therefore, God’s Will be done according to the vision that He has given me.
