My Ministry Story

My name is Silas E. Odanike. I found a tuition-free Bible school online at the Christian Leaders Institute (Learn more about studying the Bible online, Click Here).

I am a native of Delta, a Southern State in Nigeria. My family and I live in Ibadan, the capital of a South Western State in Nigeria, Oyo State. Married to my beautiful wife, we have three handsome sons, two of which are twins. I am the last born of a family of six children. My parents were ministers of the gospel before my birth. So, I grew up nurtured in a Christian home.

My Ministry Service

Currently, I serve as an assistant head of the media department in my church. I also run my ministry. My wife and I hold a one-hour prayer meeting on Wednesdays at noon and lead a group of people for an outreach every Sunday at 5 pm. On Sunday, we paste banners about the dangers of smoking, the love of Christ for the addicted, and salvation prayers in every nook and cranny of my state of residence. We share tracts alongside the outreach.

My enrollment at the Christian Leaders Institute (CLI) came as a result of God’s instruction to me. It was on the 4th of February, 2023, on my 31st day of 40 days of fasting and prayer. God said before I can be promoted to the next level of life and ministry, I must go for training at a Bible School. The tuition-free Bible classes are important to me because my income is not enough to pay for tuition, as I have a financial commitment to my family’s upkeep and the ministry. Therefore, my life will be transformed for the better.

My Story

I met the Lord on the Road to “De-Mask-Us.” Like Paul, He had to demask me. A veil covered my life and eyes. However, God opened my eyes and life in Him.

In 2014, I gave my life to Christ after escaping an abusive relationship. I was successful by the world’s standard but needed what money couldn’t buy. When I came to Yeshua, He processed me through the pain of my past. Further, He taught me how to have a real relationship with Him. Enjoined with Him, my life made sense. Jesus made my life make sense. He knew me better than I knew myself. I found my identity in Him. He is nourishment for my soul.

When considering past material wealth, nothing sustains life like Him. He satisfies like nothing else, not money or sex or another person. Jesus occupies a place nothing else can reach, nothing can touch. He was the missing element, the vital component, my life was missing. Therefore, He became my breath and my joy. His presence brings me peace. He’s lifted my head.

I received the call to ministry through a series of dreams and a Pauline-type encounter with Christ. He has called me into itinerant ministry in inner healing, teaching, and preaching the Gospel with an added emphasis on women and children.
