“My name is Dina Newman and I live in Toronto, Canada.
“In Toronto, and especially in the area I live and go to church, there aren’t many churches that share the Gospel message, or are enabling spiritual growth. Sharing the Gospel in Toronto is challenging, especially where I live, as many don’t feel they need or want a relationship with Jesus Christ.
“I came to know Jesus while in Jamaica studying with Jehovah’s Witnesses. I prayed and asked God if their teachings weren’t the Truth, He would reveal Himself to me. A few days later I met a Christian missionary couple who took me to a home bible study for a couple of months. There I learned God’s Word, and asked Jesus to be my Savior.
“I started this course to gain more knowledge of God and the bible while waiting on the Lord to show me His plan for me. I have a strong desire to help teenagers and point them to Jesus. I would like to study Christian counseling.”
Dina Newman Receives a Scholarship
“A scholarship with CLI would enable me to study counseling, as I don’t have the funds or time to go to seminary school, since I have to work full-time.

Dina Newman once belonged to the cult of the Jehovah’s Witnesses, but she knew that their teachings were not true. After meeting a Christian missionary couple, Dina Newman received the true word of the gospel and joined the fellowship of the body of Christ. Now Dina Newman desires to counsel others with wise, biblical counsel, but she can’t afford to go to a seminary. This is why Dina Newman has come to Christian Leaders Institute, where a scholarship can help her realize her vision of counseling teens and leading them to Christ.
