Technology Offerings Needed!

Our Mac Computer from 2009. This gray mare just ain’t what she used to be.

We need to raise $11,340.70 for new computers and technology to replace some of our older stuff. Our Mac Pro is now 8 years old and is often crashing while professors are taping new classes. This frustrates our guest professors and has been disrupting the work flow.

I am asking Vision Partners and every graduate to help if they are in the position to do so. For the next two weeks, we will promote this special offering. Hopefully, we will be able to purchase our new items in early September.

This special offering will be used for this special capital expense.

Video Computer Upgrade

Overview

Our current video recording computer is a Mac Pro from 2009. The computer has served us well and still continues to serve as our only recording computer. Recently a decision was made to create all videos in High Definition (HD). While the current computer can still process these videos it requires much more processing time and storage space to retain the HD and consequently, there have been mishaps with recordings that can be avoided.

Goals

  1. More Processing Power: Provide more processing power to render the HD videos
  2. More disk storage: Provide fault tolerant disk storage for HD videos
