Get Ordained in Connecticut

Want to become a wedding officiant in Connecticut? Are you interested in officiating weddings or taking on larger ministry roles in the community?

This article will guide you through the process of getting ordained in Connecticut, specifically focusing on the collaboration between the Christian Leaders Institute (CLI) and Christian Leaders Alliance (CLA). We’ll also look into the legal requirements for wedding officiants in Connecticut.

Connecticut’s Laws for Wedding Officiants:

In Connecticut, you need to be either authorized or ordained by a religious organization or have a certificate of authorization from the Office of the Secretary of the State to officiate weddings. The program provided by CLI and CLA fulfills these requirements.

Training with Christian Leaders Institute:

The Christian Leaders Institute offers a training program tailored to Connecticut’s requirements for wedding officiants. This isn’t just an online course; it provides complete training on conducting wedding ceremonies, counseling couples, and delivering wedding messages. The program ensures that participants have the skills needed to officiate weddings as per Connecticut law.

Program Duration and Requirements:

The process of becoming a licensed wedding officiant through this program takes less than ten hours of study and requires one recommendation. If you choose to go further in the ordination process, more study and recommendations are necessary.

Affiliation with Christian Leaders Alliance (CLA):

Being a member of the Christian Leaders Alliance gives additional credibility to your ordination. It shows commitment to thorough training and local endorsement, making your role as an officiant more respected in the Christian community.

Ensuring Legitimacy in Connecticut:

It’s vital to ensure that when officiating weddings in Connecticut, you are trained and possess the required credentials, following the state’s legal requirements. By choosing CLI and CLA, you’re guaranteeing that your services will be professional, recognized, and in line with Connecticut’s laws.

Summary:

If you’re looking to become a licensed Christian wedding officiant in Connecticut, you must be familiar with and meet the state’s requirements. Both the Christian Leaders Institute and Christian Leaders Alliance provide the necessary training and support to help you comply with these requirements and perform your duties professionally.

Get Ordained in Connecticut – A Testimony

My name is Ian Longest. I have been happily married to my wonderful wife, Krista, for 26 years, and together we have two adult children. Our son, Matthew, is 22, and our daughter is about to turn 20. We currently reside in a small town in Connecticut.

My personal journey with Christ began many years ago when I was around eight years old. My mother, despite us not being a family of faith or regular churchgoers, took my sister and me to a nearby church. However, we moved away shortly after and never attended church again. During my teenage years, I would occasionally inquire about church and even dated a girl who brought me along to her church. However, my involvement was never very serious.

Many years later, my wife and I made the decision to attend a church together. Interestingly enough, it was the same church I had attended during my teenage years, a Christian and Missionary Alliance church. After a couple of weeks, both my wife and I realized our need for Christ in our lives, and we fully surrendered ourselves to Him. We were baptized in our pastor’s pool in August 2008, enduring the chilly water. This marked the beginning of a new chapter in our spiritual journey.

Shortly after, I felt a calling to serve in the Men’s Ministry after attending an Iron Sharpens Iron men’s conference. I worked closely with my pastor to start the learning process and dove headfirst into discipleship and leading men’s Bible studies. Not long after, I had the opportunity to attend Bethel Seminary for Men’s Ministry Leadership training and education, which further fueled my passion for learning.

When I began researching avenues to deepen my biblical knowledge, I discovered Christian Leaders Institute (CLI). The fact that CLI offered free online education was a tremendous blessing, sparing me the financial burden often associated with attending traditional colleges. When CLI introduced CLI’s Leadership Excellence School and degree pathways, I was incredibly excited. I promptly enrolled in the Associate of Divinity Degree program, as I believed it would equip me for whatever path God had in store for me. Additionally, I pursued ordination through Christian Leaders Alliance. Since becoming ordained, I have had the privilege of officiating my son’s wedding and serving as a recognized Men’s pastor in our local church.

One of the most rewarding aspects of my experience at CLI’s Leadership Excellence School has been the opportunity to share my knowledge with the men in my church. I am passionate about helping them grasp a deeper understanding of the Bible and its significance in their lives. I strive to make the Scriptures come alive for men, emphasizing the importance of reading and applying it in practical ways. As I look toward the future, I hope to continue my education through CLI’s Leadership Excellence School and to bless the men around me with the valuable insights I gain through my studies.
