Searching For An Internet Bible College Among The Youth
I am Ryan Marks and 20 years old. I live in the United States of America and while there are many freedoms, ministry is very difficult because many people in the society are opposed to God. I have been serving the Lord in preaching and ministry leadership in my local church and district since I was 14. I was raised in a Christian home and accepted Jesus as my Savior at the age of 4 because I did not want to go to Hell. However, I did not really begin to have a relationship with Jesus Christ and make Him Lord of my life until around 5th grade. My mother has told me that from the time I was in her womb, she always felt that God was going to use me somehow in ministry. I thank the Lord Jesus Christ for saving me and being my Master! On the way home from Thanksgiving with my family in 2009, I was reading a biography of Luis Paulu and quietly began praying to the Lord and saying, “Lord, if I could only make the difference that men like Luis Paulu and others have had for your Kingdom, but…no, I could never do that” Right then it was like the Holy Spirit stopped me in my tracks and just replied “Why not?” My heart then burst with a call to preach the Gospel. Over the years since, the Lord has continued to fuel that desire and many seasoned ministers have seen it in me and encouraged me, confirming the Lord’s call.
This past March of 2014, I completed my BA in Communications from Thomas Edison State College thanks to the help of CollegePlus. I am the oldest of four children and live with my family in the greater St. Louis area. During my college time, I interned for a friend of mine, who is a Christian author and additionally served as Assistant to the Senior Pastor of my childhood church of 500 for 7 months prior to his retirement. I attended the Southern Missouri School of Ministry in 2013 and was on track to earn my ministerial credentials with a particular denomination. However, due to some non-scriptural direction and concerns in that denomination, I dropped out. I have been running my own business and ministry for the last three years~Marks Enterprises, LLC and Focusing on the Mark Ministries. The Lord has called me to writing, and by His grace, I have now authored 75 titles and more coming to help people really grow in their relationship with the Lord. My Faith is my life and I am very passionate for doctrinal purity and that Biblical truth is held in the high esteem it deserves in our lives and churches. Jesus must not only be our Savior, but the Lord of our lives.
At the church I grew up at, the senior pastor hired me as his Administrative Assistant and mentored me and had me fill in and preach for him several times. I am not on staff at my present church, but am helping teach and serve on the Church Council (spiritual council like an elder board). My ministry vision and dream is that one day the Lord would expand my reach to have a national platform to preach the Gospel in the United States of America, to share the Gospel with all of the United States and make many disciples for the Lord Jesus Christ and expand His Kingdom. I think I most identify with the ministry titles of evangelist/shepherd. I have preached many times in churches and seen the Lord use me to start revivals in individual’s heart. But I am also a shepherd (“pastor-teacher”). I have a burden to watch over the flock that the Lord entrusts to my care and protect them from false doctrine and worldliness and encourage them to be fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ.
I am preparing to be more effective through this Internet Bible College and Seminary Extension, as well as, personal study and fellowship with men of God in my local church. I also have a dream of one day planting a church and serving as a pastor. My current goals are the different avenues of sharing the Gospel through my ministry: a weekly podcast; daily blog, Facebook, and Twitter encouragement; a bi-weekly repentance and revival challenge; a monthly devotional email and free resources, Youtube videos, books, and other discipleship materials everyday. I would like to continue my studies with CLI to become more prepared for ministry as well as to get a thorough understanding of the orthodox doctrines of the Christian Faith. I believe I know them already, but I would like to receive training that is not “one denomination’s spin.”
The coursework that I have completed so far with the Internet bible college of Christian Leaders Institute is helping me be reminded of some things I have already learned and to gain further wisdom from those who have been in ministry for years. In addition, I feel that CLI’s online bible college is helping me minor on minors and major on majors in regards to the Christian Faith.
Pray that the Lord would open doors for the Gospel and that I would continue to clearly hear what He would have me do to serve Him and preach His Word.

Online Bible School Can Be Useful No Matter Where You’re Located
My name is Johnny Ford and I am the pastor of a newly planted church in my hometown of Pawleys Island, SC. Pawleys Island is located on the east coast along the Atlantic Ocean surrounded by gated communities, pristine beaches, and world-class golf courses. It is just one hour north of Charleston, and less than 30 miles south of Myrtle Beach. However, once you get past the glamour shots, there is another side to the surrounding area that has become my ministry field. My ministry dream is to be a blessing to those who have been cast aside because of the mistakes they made in life. I have a passion to minister to our youth, helping them to develop a lifelong relationship with the Lord Jesus.
I heard God speaking to me as when Jesus said to Legion, “Go home to your friends, and tell them how much the Lord has done for you, and how he has had mercy on you” (Mk 5:19, RSV). It was almost 20 years ago the Lord called me and prepared me for the task I was given to do in my hometown. If it wasn’t challenging enough to share God’s grace to my friends, just try doing it fresh out of the penitentiary! It was on a Thursday, 7:00 p.m. in the evening, on June 19, 1991 when I first heard the gospel message that forever changed my life. I will never forget the look of the man who came into that jail cell with a ministry team wanting to tell us about this man named Jesus. The best thing I ever did in my life was getting off of my bunk to give that man something to do, so I thought. I thought somebody was playing a trick on me, because the man’s story was my story and when he asked me if I wanted to know Jesus, my transformation had just begun. The Lord had it all prepared for me as I learned the Bible from a truly anointed man of God. What I saw and learned behind bars later manifested itself in similar situations upon my release, but different faces. The time I spent in the Texas Department of Corrections (3½ years) was my island of Patmos moment. Because I did not grow up around the things of church, I did not get influenced by traditional things that sometimes holds church members from doing “real” church ministry beyond the walls of the church.
When I received my calling of being a pastor and was sent by the Lord to share His mercy and grace, I quickly discovered that God was using me to show how accepting Jesus in the jail house was no different than accepting him in church. It all was about having a Godly repentance. My past experiences, along with being an associate minister for 18 years in one church, has allowed me to minister with many churches of different denominations. A unique challenge in our area is not many members of the body of Christ realize our mission goes beyond the inside of our churches. However, I have become acquainted with the founder of an international ministry called 3DM that shares our philosophy on making disciples of Christ by following Jesus’ teachings. 3DM’s headquarters is now in Pawleys Island, and our church has a great relationship with the founder and members of his ministry/leadership team.
I am blessed to have a wonderful wife of 17 years (Lynne) and two sons (12 and 10) who are a true reflection of what it requires for me to pastor. Also, I have a son who just turned 30 and recently surrounded his life to the Lord! Having an online bible school like CLI is important to our ministry and to me because CLI reflects our beliefs that the Scripture is our guide. Ministry Schooling For The Ones God Never Gave Up On
I am Evelyn from Warwick, RI. Born in Guayama, Puerto Rico and raised all my life in the United States of America. I am a proud mother of two sons and now a newly grandmother to ‘Ava’. Let me tell you about how my walk with God changed not only my life, but how my darkness became a great awakening by the grace of the Lord’s candlelight. For years, I have been on and off in various religions that left me wanting to be left alone, but not so far away from the Lord. Yes, I confess that every sin I made always left me sleepless at night because deep down in the corner of my heart rendered in a brilliant extraordinary view. I felt the Lord speak to me. After so many years of heartache, confusion, and bitter sweet moments in my life, I decided to get on a plane and take with me my depression, a companion that did not allow me to see clearly my given right to righteousness and peace of mind. Arriving at the Island, I noticed how bright the sky was. How every person I came upon always had the Lord’s name vivid-filled with blessings. And I kept feeling this tug in my heart, but I could not fully understand what it was that I had to do in order to find my place in life and feel free from my sin. One morning, I went to the local bakery for fresh baked bread and as I took that loaf back up the most amazing mountain, I realized the wrapping of the bread had a verse from the bible. When I read the verse, it said as follows:
Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
Stunned to see these words, I opened the door to the deck and looked up into the sky and there my dear friends, I knew that the Lord loves me just how I am. After all the times I hid in my ignorance for salvation God never gave up on me. This happened this year of 2014 and since then I have become a passionate born again Christian. As the months have gone by, I have not and will not cease to educate myself in the Lord’s Word. I have this ministry dream to support others along their walk with the Lord. I want to encourage others to learn about Jesus and know him to the fullest. I feel like a soldier of God and pray that as His servant, the days to come that I can keep others focused in the Lord’s name. Let us never fall away from His grace, my brothers and sisters. For we need each other to stay constant in His grace. What has prompt me into ministry more than anything is that I know that The End is to come. And with it, many Christians will be persecuted for loving the Lord. I must prepare with the Lord’s armor and shield to stand tall and help others along the way. May the Lord give me this strength and wisdom when the time comes.
To receive my ministry schooling through Christian Leaders Institute is very important for me. I pray to the Lord that it educates me to teach others to the very end of my last breath. For we really have no time to lose or to waste. We must learn all that we can before it is too late to even dare carry a bible on hand. We must memorize verses, we must be careful to place the Lord’s Word correctly upon others. We must build a strong heart and mind to carry out our purpose in the name of the Lord. Praise be to God! My dearest brothers and sisters please pray for me that I may have the will of John the Baptist who new his mission in life. He clearly understood that he had been set apart by God for a purpose. Pray for me that I may have the strong ever lasting faith of Job blameless and upright; he feared God and shunned evil. Pray for me that I am strong like King David. He was single mindlessly committed to God, and although he was guilty of some of the most serious sins recorded in the Old Testament, I know that in this world and today, I am not perfect but I am loved by the true King, the Lord Jesus Christ. Just to know this, my heart pounds and I cry of joy!! Amen.
