Affordable Divinity Degree – My name is Jason I am a 40-year-old sole provider for a family of six–four children and a wife living in Florida, USA. I currently work as a production planner for the GE F414 Engine PBL program. I have been blessed by the Lord to arrive at this position. I have worked my way up from a simple warehouse laborer to the contract I have now only by the grace of God.
Although I confessed Christ as Lord and was baptized in 2005, I quickly strayed back to the ways of the ‘world.’ As I became a father for the first time at the age of 30 and my family began to grow quickly I often prayed for guidance to be the figurehead and spiritual leader I needed to be to raise my family in the Lord. But, I still struggled with alcohol consumption and living for pleasure instead of completely surrendering myself to Christ. In March of 2014, the Lord answered my prayers in a way I never imagined. While away on vacation, a neighbor’s son broke into our home, robbed us, and burned down our house.
We returned to a sense of loss, hopelessness, and despair. However, we quickly realized just how blessed we were. Our community, for the most part, is predominantly active serving Christians and they surrounded us with love, compassion, and assistance. The local Baptist Church we had only visited a couple of times years prior quickly provided for our needs without us ever asking for assistance. It was at this point I realized the Lord was providing me a choice. I could try to cope with the tragedy on my own and eventually fall victim to alcohol abuse, or I could give my burdens to Him and surrender once and for all. I made my decision.
Since March 23, 2014, I and my family have been actively involved in the Church. My wife has been baptized and three of my four children as well. We serve as Awana leaders, Adult Sunday School teacher, Children’s Church leaders, missionaries, cooks, VBS leaders, and various other areas.
In June of 2016, I made the decision to pursue a seminary education. Although I do not believe I am called to fulfill the role of Pastor I did believe that I would need the education for whatever works the Lord has in store for me. Finances and poor participation in college during my youth have prevented me from being able to enroll in a traditional seminary college. Recently, after much prayer, I have a desire to become a hospital chaplain. Days after coming to this conclusion I discovered CLI. My plan is to pursue the degree option through CLI and be able to transfer that to seminary in pursuit of my M.DIV and hopefully work through the local hospital to become a chaplain.
I am most grateful for all the blessings the Lord has bestowed upon my family and I. I look forward to the opportunities provided through the Ministry of CLI.

Illinois Free Ministry Training Story
Illinois Free Ministry Training – My name is Lois Clements. I am 46 years old, and I live in a small rural community about 40 miles south of Chicago, IL., USA. My husband and I have one beautiful daughter who recently got married. We are adjusting to being empty nesters.
My relationship with God began on August 26th, 1978. I was 8 years old and attending vacation bible school when I accepted Jesus as my Lord. Even at that young age, I knew I was a sinner who needed a savior. During that time, I had a troubled home life. My father was an alcoholic who emotionally and verbally abused our family. I was molested by an older relative from birth to age 8. Like so many children, I thought it was my fault. I felt alone and afraid. Learning about God’s love for me brought so much comfort and joy into my life. I prayed for God to help me, and He did. I told the person who was sexually abusing me, “God told me to tell you no!”. I told him that God would forgive him of his sins if he asked him to. He began to sob, and he promised me he would never hurt me again. He kept his promise. He went forward during the alter call the next Sunday. My dad later became a Christian and quit drinking. I learned to forgive them for hurting me. God brought something good from these bad situations. God can turn lemons into lemonade.
I have experienced many trials during adulthood, including a difficult marriage which God has restored. I had gastric bypass surgery that left me with chronic pain, malnourishment, and anorexia. After two years and 32 hospital visits, I was finally on the road to recovery. Then I was diagnosed with breast cancer a year ago. I had bilateral mastectomies and chemotherapy. I am now cancer free. These trials have strengthened my relationship with God. I am truly grateful to be alive.
I can relate to many different women, especially hurting women. My dream is to have a women’s ministry. I want to help women who are experiencing some of the struggles that I have been through. I believe my testimony and support can inspire them and bring glory to God. I want to become a small group leader to begin making a difference in the lives of women from my church and surrounding community.

I have been blessed with amazing family and friends who have supported me through my health battles. They are encouraging me to pursue my dream of helping other hurting women heal. A scholarship to CLI will give me the knowledge and ability that I need to pay it forward. I like the convenience of the online study at your own pace classes. I would not be able to afford a traditional college education. It would be an amazing blessing to receive a quality education for minimal cost.
I would appreciate your prayers for my continued physical and spiritual healing. God has given me the desires of my heart for His glory. If I can give someone hope and encouragement by sharing my story, it will make everything worth while. I know that God has made lemonade from my lemons in life, and He wants to do the same for others.
Namibia Free Bible School Training
Namibia Free Bible School Training – My name is Elizabeth Mangundu married to Benedictus Mangundu; I am 28 years old mother to two adorable kids. We lived current in Tsumeb in Namibia. My husband applied for a job at the coastal site of Namibia, and soon we will move to Swakopmund.
I was born in Khorixas, a town village northwest of Namibia, brought up by my mother with six siblings. We are 7 of my mother children, but my oldest brother didn’t stay with us mostly he lived alone. I was baptized after eight days, they told me and was confirmed as well. But despite all this, my heart was mostly in Godly things. There was this Pentecostal church I use to go to, my mother would get furious beat me. She would say those churches are for crazy people. I become born again around the age of 13, Because of my family and peer pressure, I quit. Later at the age of 14, I was raped as a virgin with no clue of what sexual relation was, I grew up thinking I’m worth nothing as in the community. People were gossiping about me and called me all sorts of things even “HIV.”
I move to Walvis Bay and there met with my daughter’s father lived in a relationship with him for seven years, he was abusive it I thought he loved me and that’s how he is showing. In 2010 I rededicated my life to Jesus. I always felt empty, and my life was frustrated. How I came to rededicate my life was while I was in police custody. My siblings and I were in a fight. I injured a woman and was arrested. I vowed to serve Jesus if I was released. I was released and went straight to any congregation to receive Jesus. The woman didn’t file charges. I did what I vowed.
After a year again I went back to the world and met my husband now in 2011. He was working in Tsumeb and that’s how I came to Tsumeb. In 2014 we both received Christ me rededicated and him. We got married in the same year and I conceive our son in 2015 and gave birth in Feb 2016. I am studying business in my first year.
Namibia Free Bible School Training -Pastor Introduces CLI
My pastor introduced me to CLI to me this year as she is also a student at CLI. About my calling, My Pastor is soon ordaining me as a deacon and my husband as a Pastor; he is a teacher and already a deacon. I know God has a plan me in this he is training me for ministry work. In June, we are moving to Swakopmund and God’s spoke to us to go plan the ministry there as people need to hear the truth about Jesus.
CLI is important to me cause I will be able to study no matter how far it may be. And financially it helps as I am allowed to study without cost. I will use all the knowledge in our Ministry.
