Student Ministry
Read the testimony of Ashton Koch, whose heart is for a student ministry to give students going to college a firm foundation in Christ:
My name is Ashton Koch and I have a heart for student ministry. I live in British Columbia, Canada. It is no extreme hardship to minister here, as opposed to other countries, but I have encountered quite a few people who are offended even by the sight of a cross, Bible, or Scripture in the same building.
I came to know the Lord during my high school years when I had been going through an emotional time dealing with family issues. During 11th grade I was living with my mother in another town, close to graduation and far away from family and friends. On my birthday of that year, my father had sent me a Bible and I began to read it. I started praying and one evening during my prayer I felt that everything was going to be okay and I no longer felt alone. I was able to move back to my hometown halfway through the new year and started attending church with my father and family, as well as doing Bible studies and taking baptism classes after giving my life to God.
Throughout the years after high school, I continued on my path with God and went through great losses, but God has always been with me through the thick and thin of it all. Today I continue to educate myself more and grow closer to the Lord every day.
My dream is to finish my schooling at Christian Leaders Institute and be able to use the knowledge I’ve gained to go out and help bring more people back to God. This class has been a wonderful start in helping me understand more about walking with God and getting out of my comfort zone to get to know people in order to help them find their way.
After learning about how many children turn to atheism after entering college, I can see myself using the tools and knowledge from this school to help them so when they move forward from high school they would be more equipped to be able to defend their faith and keep close to God.
Connecting to the Bible has opened my eyes when it comes to our everyday lives, our morals, and our values. Doing daily Bible studies helps me to understand more of God’s commandments, how I am living my life, and how my actions affect myself and others. Every day I am able to learn something new to apply to my life. I have a lot of family members who do not share my faith in our Lord and I want to be able to have a conversation with them and give them answers that they may never have heard before and maybe help bring them to the Lord.
CLI is a chance for me to be able to further educate myself in Christian studies, helping me gain more knowledge from home while working with my busy schedule. Please pray that we are able to bring many people to the Lord and help bring out more Christians to stand up and start preaching the word of God to the world.

Music Ministry
Read the story of Robbie Ware and his introduction to the Lord, a mentoring youth pastor, a music ministry and ministry training at Christian Leaders Institute:
My name is Robbie Ware and I am involved in music ministry for my Lord. I grew up in a typical blue-collar American home. We went to church on Sunday mornings and occasionally on Sunday night. However, there were no obvious outward signs of a Christian life at home. We lived within walking distance of the church, and as a middle-schooler, I occasionally walked to and from Sunday services. Six days before my twelfth birthday, in a Sunday morning service when my parents weren’t there with me, I responded to a traditional altar call with a friend from school. When I arrived home, I did not tell anyone anything about my decision. My mom found out when the pastor called to congratulate her. When she asked me why I had not told her, my response was that I was not sure what she would say.
The conviction my parents felt due to my response changed my family. From that point, we began to attend church whenever the doors were open. My parents were seen regularly praying and reading the Bible at home. My dad became a deacon and I watched all of my brothers come to Christ over the next few years.
When I was fifteen, a bi-vocational preacher moved into our town. Within a few months, he was serving in the role of the youth pastor. It was during this time that I truly began to grow and serve the Lord as I was mentored in ministry and life by this youth pastor. At seventeen, I recognized a call on my life. The only thing I had any confidence in was my musical ability and the guidance of my mentoring youth pastor. He taught me to read my Bible, pray for wisdom, and fill a need when I saw it.
Growing up in rural America, church-based ministry opportunities were not hard to find. There were so many small congregations looking for something “fresh” from a music ministry that is willing to come at no cost but a love offering. Our youth pastor trained us for ministry and music ministry in just that way. We traveled all around, singing, preaching, and serving anywhere they would allow us.
Through the following years, in an attempt to follow the direction of my parents and pastors, I completed some coursework toward licensure/ordination. I served in several volunteer/bi-vocational roles within the church. However, none ever seemed to fit what I felt was my calling. I have been blessed to have the opportunity to continue using my musical ability as part of outreach and worship ministry. Faithfully spending time in the Word and prayer has been essential to weathering the storms and challenges of life. God has always proven Himself faithful. I am thankful that His mercy is new and fresh every time I repent and renew my commitment to spend time with Him. He is always there. He is always faithful.
As I pursued other educational opportunities, I found they were interested in indoctrinating students with denominational views and came with a huge price tag. I am grateful that God has led me to Christian Leaders Institute. It is refreshing to see a school with the vision and passion of CLI. I look forward to paying it forward as a Vision Partner for many others to follow the legacy being built at CLI.
During the “Getting Started Class” I have been challenged to rethink my life, ministry, and career. I have had to determine how to better balance a ministry and career. Though I do not see myself as a traditional pastor within a local congregation, I see myself pastoring those walking the path I have already walked. I am currently developing and integrating the appropriate technologies to help music ministers, in small congregations or small settings, be more successful. I am committed to receiving the proper mentoring and education required to add the credibility needed to be effective in ministry wherever the Lord opens a door.
It is my prayer that CLI will continue to grow in influence, broaden its academic offerings and continue to prepare revival leaders for successful ministry. In return, I ask you to continue to challenge me, spur me on in my growth and pray that I would have wisdom.

Women Ministry Ordination
Christian Leaders Deacon Minister Ordination and Women Ministry Ordination! Thank you, Christian Leaders Institute and Christian Leaders Alliance for making it all possible!
My name is Bernice Landman from South Africa. My country is flourishing with the spreading of the gospel. Christians continue faithfully to spread the gospel to the rural areas in Africa. Unfortunately, we have many cultures and beliefs due to our many nations who dwell here, so the path is a hard one. But many are receiving the Lord with praise and joy.
I was blessed to be raised in a Christian family. I attended church and got baptized at a young age. Unfortunately, Satan and, of course, my human desires led me down a hard path. But, because of God’s great and constant love, I have been forgiven. I have been tried and failed but always had the hand of God to help me up again. I’ve always had this deep love for God. I must admit that I have fought, turned my back on, and questioned the Lord many times. I learned that I cannot live without Him. He has given me more understanding, patience, forgiveness, and mercy. My love for God has grown beyond what I ever dreamed of.
To reconcile God’s children to him and bring God praise and joy, that is what I feel called to do. I feel that God’s sorrows are great as he looks upon his children to see that they don’t care about him, don’t know him and even mock him when he loves them so much. God is love.
I am blessed with a wonderful Christian husband. I am barren but God blessed us with a wonderful son. We adopted Tashmain when he was one and a half months old. He knows and loves our Father, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. As I did this course at Christian Leaders Institute as well as all the other courses that I have taken so far, I have constantly shared my knowledge with them and it has been a wonderful and enlightening experience.
Our son, who is now eighteen, announced at a family gathering recently that he would like to go into ministry through the help of CLI’s excellent education program. What a mother’s joy to hear the love and dedication he has for our Father, Jesus and the Holy Spirit! I pray that more mothers will hear the precious words, “I want to dedicate my life to God and his ministry.”
I am grateful to Christian Leaders Institute for making these online studies available, and for free! What a wonderful gift they are giving to all those who are wanting to do the work of God and need education to fully understand with accuracy the Bible. Your layout is brilliant; it’s easy and well presented.
From the day I started, I have drawn closer to Jesus. I have started to pray more and learned so much. I would like to thank you for your gift and the Women Ministry Ordination. I pray that many will donate to your institute to enable it to continue to bless God’s work on earth.
Pray that my ears will hear the Lord’s voice clearly, that my mind can grasp and understand what He teaches me, that God may grant me wisdom and insight on how to help His children and the grace to love and bless as He would like me to do.
