Pastoral Minister Training

Pastoral Minister Training

My name is Augustine Spaine and I am receiving free pastoral minister training at Christian Leaders Institute. I am a Sierra Leonean pastor working as a Pastor in Guinea. I became a Pastor in 1994, in Sierra Leone. Driven by a gruesome rebel war, I migrated to neighboring Guinea, a French-speaking nation which is 90% Muslim. Since 1999, when I arrived in Guinea, it was difficult for me not only to continue my God-given assignment but my personal fellowship with the Lord. I am married with three children. During my first two years in Guinea, I found a fellowship of Christians (mostly refugees) from the war-torn neighboring countries, Liberia and Sierra Leone. We continued in fellowship until I was led to start the ‘Jesus Is Alive Ministry’ of which I am currently the lead Pastor.

How I came to the Lord is just amazing. I lost my father at the age of two. My mother was illiterate. I grew up with my paternal uncle, who took care of my schooling. Unfortunately, he died when I was in sixth grade. I was left with his widowed wife who struggled to bring up a lot of children in her care. I was about to take my GCE Ordinary Level when I lost my aunt-in-law. This just devastated me. I could not take my exam that year. I took it the next year as a private student and only passed at a subsidiary level. My life was turned into a shambles. It was a born-again schoolmate that witnessed to me and took me to his church. On that first visit, the pastor of the church preached my life history. With tears, I went to the altar and accepted the Lord Jesus into my life.

I have no formal education or pastoral credentials. I will call myself a “qualified by experience minister.” I realized I needed some pastoral minister training, but couldn’t afford it. With my cell phone, I decided to search online after being counseled by another pastor about the benefits of the internet. The Lord led me to Christian Leaders Institute. After the first five initial courses, it is so amazing how much I have learned especially on how to preserve a good conscience. It is our comportment that determines our effectiveness as leaders. My thanks go once again to CLI and their partners. You are indeed a blessing to me and this generation. May God richly bless you and your families in Jesus name. Amen.

Chaplain Call

Chaplain Call

My name is Cathy Lynn-Craven and I have a chaplain call on my life. I am a retired wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and most importantly, I am a child of God. I am from Atlanta, Georgia, the USA, born to two wonderful young parents. We lived with and I was raised mostly by my maternal grandparents until I was about 10 years old while my parents frequently stayed at the hospital and cared for my very ill sister, Judy. After Judy passed away, I moved with my parents to middle Georgia and that is where I grew up.

I was led to accept Jesus Christ as my Savior at the early age of 6. I was baptized later that year in a creek just up the road from the small church I attended with my grandparents. My maternal grandmother was actually my first mentor. She taught me about the great love Jesus has for us and she taught me the importance of living and growing in that love. I learned the importance of prayer and Bible study and I could sit beside her and listen to the Bible stories for hours on end. My faith in God was planted deep within my soul in those early years and has sustained me through many trials and tribulations during my life. While I have wavered in my service many times, my faith has always pulled me back to the wondrous love of Jesus.

As I became an adult I realized that service work was my calling. I completed an Associate Degree in Nursing and worked for many years in local hospitals. As I grew in my faith, I began to feel a calling to work in the Criminal Justice field. I took a job as a nurse in a local jail and eventually attended the police academy where I obtained my peace officer certification. While working full time, I went back to college and obtained a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and then later a Master of Public Administration/Justice Administration. I retired from Criminal Justice a few years ago and now feel the chaplain call.

Over the years, I have been involved in different ministries in several different churches. I taught children’s Sunday school, have led Children’s Church and been involved in Vacation Bible Schools. But, there were many times that I could have been involved that I allowed myself to take my eyes off Jesus and my feet off the path. Recently, I had a very vivid dream and, unlike other dreams, I remember every single detail it. In the dream, I visited a place where everyone who stood around me was young, healthy and excited. I stood with my parents talking about the warmth and the light and I remember feeling so very loved. My mother’s hair was the golden blonde that I remember as a child and my dad, who had rheumatoid arthritis and was bent over at the time of his death, stood tall and healthy (both of them passed away in 2013 in their 70’s). I was so very happy to be in this place and so happy to see my parents again. I then felt a hand on my shoulder and a very gentle and kind voice told me it was time for me to return. I asked to stay but the voice told me that I had to return because I was a guardian and it was not yet my time. When I woke up from the dream, I knew I had to find my path and I have been praying and searching for direction. I am sure that I was led to Christian Leaders Institute and plan to pursue studies in the program for Chaplain in answer to my chaplain call.

I am married to a wonderful man, Bill, and collectively we have four children, eight grandchildren and now a new great-granddaughter. All of our children and grandchildren are scattered across the Eastern USA so we get to travel to visit them. My husband is a retired engineer and an artist so he spends much of his time drawing. I enjoy baking, cake decorating and reading and now I look forward to being a student and being involved in the Christian Leaders Institute!

Revival Minister Training

Revival Minister Training

My name is Robert R. Bossio Jr. and I am receiving revival minister training at Christian Leaders Institute. I’m from Pittsburgh, Pa. I’m a retired, disabled, USAF, Security Forces Veteran/Law Enforcement Officer. I grew up in our family church, Christian Assembly in Arnold, Pennsylvania, where my Uncle was my minister all through my childhood and after I graduated high school. He was in my opinion, the godliest man I knew. My Grandfather on my father’s side, started our church when he came here from Italy in the early 1900’s. My mother’s father also had his own ministry. All through my childhood and early teens, my aunts, who were the elders of our church, had many talks with me on the subject that God was calling me to be a minister and that I was to listen to Him and to the voice of The Holy Spirit closely and not waste time. I was told many times to obey the voice of God.

Reflecting back to when I was 5 years old, I had a very unique childhood and a close relationship with God. I was standing in my yard one day and I looked up into the sky and asked God, “God, who are you and where did you come from?” I asked Him if He was ever born and who His Mommy was. I then closed my eyes and felt myself being lifted up from the earth and I was allowed to enter into the sky and I felt this huge presence overcome me (and I still feel it still to this day). This huge, calm voice, as if it were the sound of mighty rushing waters, said to me, “Robby, I am God. I always Was, Am, and always Will Be. I never was born. I always was. I have no Mommy.” I remember this as if it were just yesterday. From that day on, I knew who God is and my relationship and walk started that very day with Him.

I was saved at an early age and I was baptized when I was in high school. I received the gift from The Holy Spirit of speaking in tongues at an early age. Throughout the years, I was involved in many services in our church and other churches. I sang with my mother and sisters in our music ministry and I also play guitar and drums. I took God’s Word with me and shared it with so many all over the world. I want to work along with my Pastor at our church and have my own ministry too. I want to bring Jesus’ healing to the sick and give food, water, and shelter to the starving and homeless. I have been involved in rescuing homeless animals too.

The area I live in definitely needs revival and outdoor camp meetings to come back. I have been involved in revivals and I absolutely love them. I want to raise up and bring them back to our community and see an outpouring of the Holy Ghost on people. These classes at Christian Leaders Institute will help me receive revival minister training and reach my spiritual dream and my goals for God’s work. I can go on to study more of your programs and get the proper training I need to become a minister. I want to become ordained someday. Thank you for allowing me to take this free Getting Started Course. God bless all of you. Let’s win souls for Christ! Amen.
