I am Isaac Quartey, a Ghanaian who resides in Kumasi, Ampatia. With a desire for knowing God and the Bible more thoroughly, I found the Christian Leaders Institute (CLI) online. The tuition-free Bible and ministry courses are what I need for my ministry calling from God.
My Growing Up and Faith Development
I grew up in a Christian home, although my parents usually did not observe a family devotion and quiet time with God. However, my parents always ensured that we never missed a Sunday service. Therefore, growing up a young child, I began to dislike Sundays.
Then, at the age of 10, during one of our Bible studies, I learned about the need of prayer and its spiritual impact in life. Sadly for me, a close relative of mine died after two days battling with a strange ailment. This incident took place on the very day that I learned more about prayer. The prayer lesson and the incident took me to my knees in prayer on that Monday night. Behold, two days later, I went to the hospital with the same illness that took my relative.
My grandmother was a praying woman who taught her grandchildren about God. She emphasized the need for us to accept Jesus as Lord. She wanted us to have divine protection and guidance while still young. By God’s grace and my grandmother’s faithfulness, I accepted Jesus as Lord and received baptism when I was 13 years old.
Knowing God and the Bible through Study at CLI
A search for a job relocated me to a new church in a new site. After getting there, I developed a strong interest in knowing God and the Bible well and serving Him well. However, even though I had this interest, I was unable financially to enroll myself in a seminary. Thank the Lord, I was searching for any avenue that could help me to study the scriptures daily and that led me to the Christian Leaders Institute.
With the opportunity for free training through CLI, those around me see something new in me as I serve God. Now, I know that I have also received through CLI the kind of help that Apollo had from Priscilla and Aquila (Acts 18: 26).I grew up in a Christian home.

My name is Agnes Maringa Mazivila. God blessed me with a wonderful family, a supportive husband, and three beautiful children. I can never thank God enough for entrusting me with my amazing children. Wanting more Bible knowledge, I found the Christian Leaders Institute (CLI) with its tuition free courses.
My Story
Born in 1988 on May 25, I am the third child of six to my parents.I grew up in a Christian home. My grandmother was a praying woman who taught her grandchildren who God is. She emphasized the need for us to accept Jesus as Lord while we were kids. She wanted us to have divine protection and guidance while still young. By God’s grace and my grandmother’s faithfulness, I accepted Jesus as Lord and received baptism when I was 13 years old.
I passed my matric in 2006. In 2009, I worked at South Downs College. However, I left in 2015 due to situations beyond my control. During this period, my knowledge and understanding of Christianity deepened a lot. I spent most of my time reading and studying the Word of God which produced a good relationship with God. Further, during this time, I learned to trust God in every aspect of my life.
The COVID-19 pandemic and the lock downs brought a great turning point in my life. In this period, the Holy Spirit assured me that God is in control of the situation and that I didn’t not have to fear like the rest of the world. I am in the world, but I am not of this world. God takes every situation and works for my good. In the midst of the pandemic I felt the strong need of going back to school. Therefore, I applied and got accepted to study a Bachelor of Administration in Human Settlements Management at the University of South Africa (UNISA). I started in the 2021 academic year, and by the grace of God, I finished my degree in record time in 2023.

Total Surrender to God
My name is Leonila Ganir from Saskatchewan, Canada. However, my country of origin is the Philippines. I am currently running an approved home to look after adults with mental health issues and drug addictions. I am also a Small Group leader and Children’s Bible teacher. Being a student at the Christian Leaders Institute equips me with Bible knowledge and ministry confidence in sharing about God.
My Story
Growing up, I went to a Catholic church in our local area run by nuns and a priest. My parents nurtured me and taught me about Jesus. However, no one in our family read the Scripture. In the year 2005, I totally ignored the teaching of my parents and went my own way. I lived with my boyfriend. We continually sinned against God for almost three years. However, God loves me and that is why He exposed what I was doing in secret.
In Romans 3:23, it says, “For all have sinned and fall short of the Glory of God (ESV).” I also know God saved me by grace. “For by grace you have been saved through faith.” I have the confidence of salvation because Jesus came into the world to save sinners.
Now married for 16 years, we have three boys. We serve God in our local church, together with our kids. God uses me as a Small Group Leader and a Children Bible teacher. In my weakness He restored me. I didn’t deserve a gift, but He is faithful to give me the gift of salvation! In response to that gift, I live every aspect of my life to the glory of God and used by Him all the days of my life. I surrender daily to His will.
Bible Knowledge and Ministry Confidence
I thank my Pastor as she mentors me and is instrumental in my spiritual growth. I am also thankful to the Christian Leaders Institute. The Bible knowledge and ministry confidence learned at CLI help me to share God’s Word more effectively with my small group and the children at our church.
May my testimony draw you closer to God. I pray that you believe and receive Jesus in your life. Pray and ask God to forgive you. Once I was lost, but now I am found, and I am all His!
