From Brokenness to Redemption: A Journey of Ministry Calling
My name is Mike Anthony Tuazon from the beautiful town of Cabanglasan in Bukidnon, Philippines. The comprehensive ministry training at the Christian Leaders Institute is equipping me for my calling. I want to share my story with you, filled with gratitude for the transformative journey that has shaped me into who I am today. Through the challenges I’ve faced, I’ve discovered the power of faith, hope, perseverance, and a deeper connection with God.
Education and Personal Growth
In 2012 I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Electro-Mechanical Technology from Mindanao University of Science and Technology in Cagayan de Oro, Philippines. Two years later, I decided to work abroad as a heavy vehicle mechanic, entering a different field.
While in Qatar, I became an active member of the music ministry in my local church. Through worship, I experienced the powerful presence of God and felt His love. In addition, engaging in Bible studies and participating in church activities became integral to my life, nurturing my growing hunger for spiritual truth.
During this transformative journey, another life-changing blessing came into my life. I married the love of my life, and together we welcomed a beautiful baby girl. This season of newfound joy and responsibility deepened my sense of purpose and strengthened my desire to leave a lasting legacy of faith and love for future generations.
Pursuing the Ministry Calling
Amidst these family blessings, I felt a divine calling from God to dedicate my life to service. This stirring within my soul grew stronger daily, affirming that God’s plan for me extended beyond professional success. This conviction led me to embrace a life of service, becoming a vessel of God’s love and transformation in the lives of others.
With unwavering determination and the full support of my family, I pursue this calling wholeheartedly. I am eager to learn, grow, and equip myself to make a lasting impact on the lives of those around me. With strong faith, education, and experience, I can fulfill God’s purpose and bring hope to a needy world.

My journey with Christian Leaders Institute has been an incredible blessing. It allows me to pursue my calling while maintaining my job and family responsibilities. The flexibility and accessibility of this comprehensive ministry training program have been invaluable. It enables me to balance my commitments while embarking on this transformative journey.
One of the greatest gifts of the Christian Leaders Institute is its free training. It is a tremendous help to me, especially considering my financial constraints. Without the burden of tuition fees, I focus on my studies and developing my ministry skills. I also know that I am supported by a community of believers who recognize the importance of equipping and empowering emerging Christian leaders.
This student journey with Christian Leaders Institute goes beyond mere knowledge acquisition and skill development. It is also a journey of transformation and spiritual growth. The resources, teachings, and guidance have deepened my understanding of Scripture and challenged me to apply Biblical principles to my daily life and ministry.
Childhood and Spiritual Journey
I grew up in a Christian family where faith was central to our lives. From attending Sunday services to participating in Sunday schools and vibrant youth ministries, my childhood laid a strong foundation of faith and a deep understanding of God’s love.
However, in my college years, I veered away from the path. My choices led me down a dark and destructive way. I became entangled in worldly addictions, and the allure of drugs and alcohol took hold of my life. The pursuit of temporary pleasures consumed my thoughts and led me astray.
The consequences of this period of rebellion and addiction were profound. I lost focus on my studies, extending my college years from four to six. The disorientation and grip of addiction waylaid my potential and God’s plans for me.
Tragically, during this time, my parents’ relationship broke down. They separated shortly after my college graduation in 2012. The pain and turmoil within my family deepened my descent into darkness. Filled with anger and bitterness, I even contemplated violence against my father.
Continued Spiritual Journey
These were the darkest moments of my life. Hope seemed distant and redemption unattainable. I was drowning in the consequences of my choices and the overwhelming weight of my addictions. Yet, amid this despair, God’s mercy and grace broke through the darkness, offering me a glimmer of hope and the promise of transformation.
In the depths of my brokenness and despair, I cried out to God, questioning why my family had to endure such suffering. Then, with a heavy heart, I decided to leave my hometown. Believing that a fresh start and my plans would somehow provide the answers I desperately sought.
Leaving the familiar behind, I ventured into the unknown. I took a job unrelated to my college degree in 2014. It was an attempt to escape and find hope in a change of scenery. During this transitional period, I sought refuge in my aunt’s church, where she served as a minister.
A Supernatural Encounter with the Lord
During a service at my aunt’s church in April 2014, something supernatural occurred as I raised my voice in praise. Overwhelmed by a deep sense of my brokenness and unworthiness, I became acutely aware of my sins. I realized that I did not deserve a second chance to change the course of my life. Yet, amid my despair, I felt a powerful presence surrounding me. It was a divine embrace that spoke of God’s unfathomable love and mercy.
In that encounter, God whispered to my soul. He revealed that I was never alone during those years of pain and struggle. He assured me that He allowed those circumstances for a greater purpose. It was a transformative encounter that shattered my confidence and pride—compelling me to surrender my life entirely to Jesus Christ.
Renewed in my relationship with Him, I accepted His forgiveness and grace. I relinquished my plans and surrendered to His perfect will. From that moment on, my life took a new direction, guided by faith and trust in the God who never abandoned me.
My Redemptive Journey
This encounter marked the beginning of my journey of restoration and redemption. It was not an instant transformation. Instead, it was a gradual process of letting go of my addictions, healing broken relationships, and allowing God’s transformative power to work in every area of my life. Each day drew me closer to God as I delved into His Word, prayed, and sought fellowship with other believers.
As I reflect on my past, I see the incredible faithfulness of God even in the darkest moments. He took my brokenness and transformed it into a testimony of His love and redemption. Today, I walk in the light of His grace, grateful for the second chance He has given me to live a life that honors Him and brings hope to others.
My Spiritual Dream
My spiritual dream is to be a beacon of hope and transformation in the lives of others. I am called to be a vessel of God’s love and grace, reaching out to the broken, lost, and hurting. My deepest desire is to witness lives transformed by the power of the Gospel as people discover their true identity in Christ and experience the abundant life He offers.
Christian Leaders Institute plays a vital role in making this dream a reality. Its comprehensive ministry training and equipping programs provide the knowledge, resources, and support necessary for me to become an effective leader and minister of the Gospel. In addition, CLI’s commitment to providing free training is an incredible blessing, allowing individuals like me, who face financial limitations, to receive the training needed to fulfill our calling.
I envision Christian Leaders Institute equipping me with a deep understanding of Scripture, practical ministry skills, and a heart in sync with God’s purposes. I am learning from experienced mentors and instructors who guide me on this transformative journey. They offer wisdom and insight as I navigate the complexities of ministry.
Comprehensive Ministry Training at CLI
My dream also involves building a vibrant ministry that extends beyond the walls of a church building. I desire to bring the message of hope and redemption to the marginalized, the broken-hearted, and those who have yet to encounter the life-changing love of Jesus Christ. I aspire to lead outreach programs, discipleship initiatives, and community development projects that address the spiritual and practical needs of those I serve.
Furthermore, I dream of fostering unity among fellow believers and building a strong and vibrant Christian community. I long for a network of like-minded individuals passionate about serving God and advancing His Kingdom. We can make a lasting impact in the harvest fields through mutual support, encouragement, and collaboration.

It equips me with the tools and knowledge necessary to impact lives and make a difference. With the power and leadership of the Holy Spirit, as well as the support of CLI, I will faithfully serve, lead others into a deeper relationship with God, and contribute to transforming lives, communities, and nations.
