How can you grow as you read the bible?

If we want a deep relationship with our heavenly Father, we need to be in daily communication. That communication means we do not just talk to God in prayer or listen to His word on a weekly basis at church. For a blossoming relationship, we need to be building that connection repeatedly by scripture reading and listening and talking to God.

"This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success."

Joshua 1:8

Scripture Reading

For starters pray Psalm 119:18.
“Open my eyes to see wonderful things in your Word.”
Challenge yourself today to pick up the sword of God each morning and not put it down. Give yourself time to meditate on what your scripture reading. Pick at least a verse of scripture to memorize this week. Lastly, read after each meal a chapter of the Bible. If you have children read the chapter with them. As with prayer create a new habit of scripture reading and memorization each week. Keep a journal this week of your scripture habits.
