“One thing I learned specifically from this course that will help me in my ministry calling is the section on increasing management effectiveness. This specific section covered the aspects of management roles and principles. Some of my main takeaways from it included the need to have effective communication, making relationships, and seeing employees as a valuable resource. In my ministry calling, which I believe is to either work in marketing or some form of leadership in a business, I wish to best represent the character of Christ through how I treat others and lead by example. Understanding what makes an effective manager and leader will help me in my mission to advance the Gospel and honor God through everything I do. I specifically like how the course covered the financial aspects of leadership and management of a business. I believe that this was useful to me as it gave me insight for some of the things I will have to oversee and know about if I were to lead a business or company. This also introduced me to aspects of accounting for a business, such as balance sheets, income statements, assets, liabilities, and equity.”
