My Life in God’s Plan
My name is Malik De Soysa. I live and work in Colombo, Sri Lanka. I am a consultant Cardiothoracic Surgeon. It is a great blessing to be a student at the Christian Leaders Institute to take the online Bible courses free (Learn more about online free Bible courses, Click Here). For a long time, I have been wanting a formal education in Christianity. I wanted to get some formal training on the Bible. This was not possible in most places in my country as they were mostly full-time or part-time courses, which obviously interfered with my training and work as a heart surgeon. Its as if CLI was tailormade for me to learn more about God and his plan for me by directing me through the different areas of study.
My Spiritual Journey
My mother was a Christian and brought me up in a Christian home although my father was a Muslim. I learned quite a lot about God from the Methodist Sunday School I attended. I came to the Lord at quite a young age and prioritized Him in my life. So, I have been a Lay Preacher of the Methodist church for the past 20 years.
However, it was in the last ten years that my journey with the Lord intensified. It was when I came down in my MD Surgery Final exam. Through my devastation, the Lord helped me realize my dependency on Him. Since then, I have tried to connect with God and daily walk with Him. The filling of the Holy Spirit a few years ago was indeed a breakthrough. The fact that God speaks to me on real-life events such as the success of my patients and healing ministry has made me more and more confident in the Lord.

Sri Lanka is a predominantly Buddhist country and people are full of blind faith. I want to testify to them of the Living God who made heaven and earth. I have been able to win most of the hearts of people with whom I work. Now it’s time to reach out and take the gospel of Jesus Christ to these non-believers.
My spiritual dream is to bring the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the people of my country even to the point of martyrdom. That is why I am studying the Bible courses free at the Christian Leaders Institute. I will be equipped to evangelize as I share Christ. May God help me in this endeavor.

Step 1 – Register for a free study account that automatically enrolls you in the Christian Leaders Getting Started Course Part 1 &2.
After you register, you will automatically be enrolled in the “getting started” course. You will locate the course at your “home” button when logged in. Scroll down to find the Christian Leaders Getting Started Course Part 1 &2 Link. Click the link and open the course.
Step 2 – Complete Part 1 of this course, and then you are allowed to enroll in mini-courses or regular courses.
The Christian Leaders Getting Started Class Part 1 shows you how to enroll in courses and mini-courses. Part 2 of the course connects your calling into ministry with programs offered through Christian Leaders Institute. Part 2 will offer some ministry training and introduce you to the other programs offered through Christian Leaders Institute.
