Do I need to know that I want to be a full-time chaplain?
No. The pathway is intentionally progressive. You can begin with foundational training and the Licensed Chaplain credential, gain ministry experience, and later decide whether an Associate or Bachelor of Chaplaincy fits your long-term goals.
Is the Licensed Chaplain credential instant ordination?
No. The pathway is study-based and includes Christian endorsement, accountability, and completion requirements. It is not simply a title purchased online.
What is required for the Licensed Chaplain credential?
The pathway shown here requires a minimum 2.00 GPA, Level 1 Endorsement, and completion of Wedding Officiant Skills, Funeral Officiant Skills, Chaplain Foundations, and Licensed Chaplain Ordination.
Will this credential guarantee me a chaplain job?
No. Employers and institutions can set their own education, certification, endorsement, experience, licensing, or hiring requirements. Students pursuing vocational chaplaincy should research the requirements of the specific setting where they hope to serve.
What can I pursue after Licensed Chaplain?
If your calling deepens, you can continue toward the Associate of Chaplaincy or Bachelor of Chaplaincy pathway for substantially more academic preparation.
