The Mission

“Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, ‘Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?’ And I said, ‘Here am I. Send me!’” (Isaiah 6:8)

Many CLI students in over 190 countries are saying yes— they are stepping forward as pastors, chaplains, Christian leaders, and missionaries. They have answered this call but are waiting for one last piece—the scholarship support to be launched into ministry with an Associate or Bachelor degree.

The Here I Am Fund exists to make sure every called leader can be launched with credibility.

From Calling to Commissioning

This fund awards “Send Me Scholarships” to students who:

Have completed at least 15 credit hours of study with at least a 2.5 GPA
Are spiritually ready & actively serving God
Are seeking to earn an Associate or Bachelor degree but are not financially able to cover the education services fee.

Every Dollar Helps Send a Messenger

$75 – Covers a student’s application fee

$250 – Funds one semester

$1,500 – Fully funds an Associate Degree

$3,000 – Fully funds a Bachelor Degree

In October, 2022, I came across the Here I Am Scholarship offered through CLI on their website. I applied for it. It took a year to receive the scholarship, however it was worth the wait. Not only did the Lord develop self control and discipline within me, he also matured me in the areas of patience and long suffering. I really grew closer to the Lord during this season of my life. I constantly remained at his feet in prayer. Also another attribute of Christ that I've grown in is gratitude. I'm literally grateful for everything!

As I close this chapter, I must express my sincere gratitude to Christian Leaders Institute. The education I received here has been life-changing, providing me with the tools and spiritual formation needed for effective ministry. I am also profoundly thankful to the donors of the Pool of Bethesda Scholarship. Their generosity made it possible for students like me to receive an education without financial strain. Thanks to their support, I now step into my future ministry with confidence and purpose.

I also plan on preaching and teaching in my church anything I can do to be an example of Christ is my passion. I am so thankful to CLI for giving me this opportunity to learn and grow in the Lord. Timothy is pursuing his Bachelor of Divinity at Christian Leaders Institute to follow God’s call into pastoral ministry, where he already serves the homeless and mentors others through local ministries. He is seeking a scholarship because, after his wife’s serious medical diagnosis and a resulting life transition, he now works full-time in ministry with no extra income to cover the degree cost.

Canada

Sarah is pursuing a Bachelor of Christian Leadership with a triple major in ministry, theology, and business to become a well-rounded leader. Currently on extended maternity leave with limited household income, she seeks a scholarship to continue her education at CLI so she can expand her ministry impact, especially among immigrants, Muslims, and the underserved, through writing, leadership, and Gospel-centered service.

Zimbabwe

Katyamurandu is seeking a scholarship to earn an Associate's in Divinity so he can better serve his community in Zimbabwe, where he has volunteered for over 20 years. Due to severe economic hardship, he cannot afford the fees on his own, but is committed to using this education to expand ministry programs, train leaders, and launch a boys' mentoring initiative to reduce crime and build a stronger, faith-centered community.

South Africa

Kepadisa is seeking a scholarship to complete her Bachelor's in Christian Leadership, with 97 of 123 units already finished and a strong academic record. Facing unemployment and financial hardship, she hopes to use the degree to launch faith-based initiatives, especially to address the decline of marriages in South Africa, by combining her background in nursing and leadership to strengthen families and fulfill God’s design for marriage and community well-being.
