“By understanding the financial market and the way it affects corporations allows me to be a better steward of the finances entrusted to me as an employee or business partner. I currently am a member/manager of a small private Christian micro-school. Throughout this classI would reflect on the conversations I have had with the other members concerning future growth, particularly expanding by opening multiple micro-school sites. While God has given us the ability to successfully open a school of 20 students and to keep our finances in the black on the first year, I can see how quickly larger decisions would need to be made and it is key to keep future-minded when finances are in question. While not all of the information I have learned pertains to my current business I feel that I can successfully hold an informed business conversation. I was impressed with the in-depth coverage of the financial market and the breadth of reach to all sizes of businesses. Dividend was a foreign word to me prior to this class and interestingly enough our business began dispersing small dividends in September. I felt that Professor Greene was very knowledgeable and easy to understand.”
