in Ministry Training

I am starting a message series on the book of Acts at Eagle Rock Community Church where I serve as Senior Pastor.

Acts 1:8 says: “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

I have been thinking about the statement, “you will be my witnesses”. Jesus said ordinary people like the disciples were going to be the witnesses. Those disciples become the early church. The early church continued and has been witnessing for Christ for almost 2000 years. And God still uses the church, of which you and I are part of, even to this day. If you have a dream of ministry training, you’re being called to serve Christ in ministry, like millions before you, over two millenniums.

Why us? Why the church? The church has always been populated with sinful souls saved by grace, but still empowered and sanctified by the Holy Spirit. Some in this very church would lose their way, such as Heretics, some would have moral failings, and some would hunt others in that church and even put them to death like in the time of the reformation.

Yet out of this church, despite the flaws and schisms and stuff that took glory aware from Christ, God has preserved a faith group of leaders and members who remain witnesses of the resurrected Lord and Savior.

God may be calling you to be a Christian Leader in His church. As imperfect as you are, you have been called to get ministry training. Christian Leaders Institute seeks to inspire and challenge you with the passion for the Word of God, brings to you the best practices in ministry service, and encourage you to use your gifts to be Christ witnesses!

I am looking forward to seeing what God is going to do in the lives and ministries of the hundreds of students, that have taken and will take classes and earn diplomas at CLI, in order to more effectively “witness” to our fallen world!
